I stayed at this hotel for a week on business. I thought it was a very good hotel. The rooms are large by Japanese standards, are very clean and the views are fantastic.
The breakfast selection was good but queuing can be a problem depending on what time you arrive.
The staff were very helpful but I do find the typical 3pm check-in frustrating when you arrive at noon after a 16 hour journey from the UK (hotels in Japan please note).
Please note this is a review of the hotel on Rokko island. There is another Plaza hotel in Kobe and it's easy to get them confused.
A general comment is that I found the restaurants on the island to be disappointing. There are a surprising number of "Italian" restaurants but for authenticity the two Japanese ones between the Plaza and Sheraton are probably the best. The hotel Teppanyaki restaurant is excellent but rather expensive.
