A pleasant stay at this convenient hotel next to the train station.

The most convenient hotel in Hiroshima next to the train station for th bullet train and local train. The restaurants are great with a variety of Japanese and American selections. The buses from the airport is right outside as well as the local buses for easy access to the city and train to th city ferry.

Perfect hotel located adjacent to the main Hiroshima rail station. From the Airport, take an airport limousine bus nonstop and it drops you off 50 meters from the hotel's front door. One way fare is ¥1,340 and picks up from bay 2 right outside the main terminal.
Check in is very simple in a very bright and big lobby. Staff is incredible helpful. I had ski equipment with me when they offered to hold in storage so I didn't need to lug it up to my room.
The rooms are small, but this is Japan. Extremely clean and efficient. You could dive into the bathtub it's so deep. The toilet is out of the world with a heated seat and warm water to clean where you most need it.
Hotel is a quick walk into the main train station. The hop on/hop off tour bus also picks up I. Front of the hotel. Free rides with a valid Japan Rail Pass.
Breakfast was not included in my rate. Front desk said it would be an additional ¥2,000. I politely declined and ventured out for food as there's plenty of restaurants all within walking distance.
Enjoy!

I stayed for two nights in an economy double room. Compact space with the desk, fridge, jug/crockery area, small TV and clothes drawers all part of/on the one unit. Two chairs though and a small coffee table. The bed had a ledge above it rather than bedside tables which was a bit awkward to use because of having to reach up. Comfortable sleep and no noise (22nd floor). Adjustable air-conditioning - a bonus. Interesting, wide view of a variety of city buildings and streets across to mountains, and of the JR station and bus zone. I enjoyed watching lots of people stopping to take photos at the Christmas tree on the station's level 1 walkway. Attractive bathroom with a nice big sink. I didn't like the smell of the face/hand soap (it reminded me of Perkins Paste a glue we have in Australia!) but the other toiletries were good. Staff were helpful. The hotel has some shops adjoining the ground floor foyer, and is right next to the station which of course has many shops and eateries. There's an underground passageway to the other side of the station which is where the trams are located. Most of the main sights and Hiroshima's downtown are on that side. The gorgeous Shukkeien Garden and the Prefectural Museum of Art are within walking distance. I enjoyed my stay.

Great location to drop your bags after arriving on the Shinkansen and go exploring Hiroshima. With JR Pass you can use the red sightseeing bus for free which starts out the front of the hotel. Hotel is clean, quiet and rooms look relatively new. Cheapest place we stayed in while in Japan and excellent value.

Nice hotel. Great location. Convenient to shopping, restaurants, and public transportation. The hotel is connected to the Hiroshima train station. Didn't even have to go outside to get to the hotel. Rooms are clean and there are nice amenities provided in the bathroom (shower cap, razor, toothbrush, cotton swabs, etc). My only complaint is that I could only find one channel on the TV in English and it was a news channel that played the same stories over and over again.

Granvia is a chain of hotels and some of them are found right in the train station which makes them very convenient. Hotel Granvia in Hiroshima is one such hotel.

Pros: Right in the station. Good hotel with a large lobby. The station has almost everything from the stationary store to mini stores to buy snacks, drinks, food and some of the daily necessities and the restaurants. Additionally, a free Hiroshima Hop On/Off bus leaves right outside of the hotel. It is free for those that have the JR pass. This itself makes the hotel worth booking because you can do entire Hiroshima sightseeing from your doorstep and when you come back tired, the bus drops you back right in front of the hotel. The rooms are functional. The WiFi works well.

Cons: The rooms are a bit on the smaller side. A King bed typically occupies majority of the room. If you have a small kid (toddler), you should make sure that the right room is selected. The hotel pricing is also a bit on the higher side and the base price does not include breakfast in the meal plan.

Ask for the room facing the station. It is quite a site to Shinkensen arrive and depart. Overall, you also get a great view of the station from your room and at night time the sight is quite pretty.

Room tip: Rooms that face the station so you can see Shinkensen arrive and depart.
