“Best location”

I'm a native of St. Petersburg. Take my word--it's the best location for a hotel. It's in walking distance from major attractions but it's quiet. We really liked our room, it was very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast. The restaurant space is a bit small so it can get crowded during morning rush. But selection was good, including champagne and traditional Russian breakfast items. I found some interesting souvenirs in souvenir store right across the street, at good prices. The hotel souvenir shop was a bit more expensive.
Have a drink on the open terrace--the view is fantastic. But service there is slow, do not have dinner there. Also, it can get windy there--hold on to your cups and glasses, don't let them fly away!

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the St. Isaak's Square. The best view ever!

Recent trip was the 4th visit in two years and every stay has been pleasant and almost trouble free. This time after an horrendous days travel including three delayed flights I arrived at the hotel and they had lost my booking. After 20 mins of confusion, which was now 2am, I eventually got into the room which was (as usual) facing the atrium. Not a great start.... The following day after returning from the days work there was a bottle of sparkling wine waiting for me as compliments for the mistake with the booking. A little token but it was enough for me to realise and remember I had never had any issues here before, and occasionally these things happpen.
The rooms are of a good standard always very clean with fresh water, comfortable beds and international tv channels as you would expect from a Renaissance anywhere.

The location is great, a few really good restaurants close by including a really fantastic option 'Mansarda' which has opened across the street. It's on the 6th floor of the office building overlooking St.Isaac's. Ask the hotel, as you would never know it was there.

St. Petersburg is a fantastic city, and I'm sure you could do much much worse than stay here but without having anything else in the city to compare it to I would read more reviews and make a more informed choice.

We stayed here for 3 nights in September. The hotel is somewhat expensive, but well worth it, and I would defintely stay here again. The hotel was very nice, in good condition, and the staff polite and helpful. The hotel is walking distance of many sights, restaurants, and activities. The terrace bar is a great place to have a drink, with great views. The rooms were relatively spacious, comfortable, and well kept. Concierge desk was helpful recommending restaurants, and calling taxis (although you could get a better rate on your own if you speak russian and like to haggle). The breakfast buffet included in our rate was well done, and had sufficient choices that should cover most people. The women who worked at the terrace bar, and lobby bar were very nice, fun to talk to, and very interested in our trip. There was a male bartender with the personality of a soviet era prison guard, but overall, most of the staff were very pleasant.

The hotel has a great location. There is a good clean gym in the basement and the bar/terrace on the 6th floor would have great views of the city. Sadly it was under renovation when we were there.
The down sides are: Breakfast is crazy expensive, It admitely is the case for a few hotels in the area but its far to much. The rooms don't have any kettles which would be nice after a cold day around Russia!
Upsides, the staff are very helpful, the welcome was perfect and the location is one of the best in the city.

Room Tip: Try choose a room with a view. The 'court yard view' is a view of inside the buidling.

Well located close to the Cathedral and not far from Nevsky Prospect (10-15 min walk) and the Hermitage Museum. Relatively small but modern hotel. Rooms are very comfortable and have air conditioning. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is very good. Platinum Marriott members will get free breakfast, internet, drinks vouchers and upgrade if available. Would definitely stay here again and recommend a stay here.

Room Tip: Two rooms suites on top floor. Two level family suites on 3rd floor at front of hotel
