Stayed 3 nights, wonderful and good value for price. Great location. About 45 minute taxi from airport, and then a 10 minute walk maximum to train station, even in snow. Easy room walk to nearby sights and restaurants. Great place to eat across the road.
The room was clean, warm and decent sized, had balcony, toiletries, fridge, kettle and tea. As we traveled east to west across Russia, these extras became less frequent.
Hotel reception staff spoke English and were helpful in organizing taxi for us to tour far away fort. There is a fee to store luggage.
Breakfast buffet included. First time experiencing Russian food and we were very happy. A lot of choice, fresh and filling. We did not know food on bar counter was additional cost as signs in Russian (what do you expect? We were in Russia) so had to pay extra for a croissant! Ladies were very friendly.
Finally, did eat at the restaurant on first night and it was an experience! Menu in Russian only, but thankfully having pictures made it possible to choose something. Food was OK.
Overall a good choice, we were happy and I would recommend staying here.
Also it is important to remember the history of Vladivostok and take this into consideration when experiencing things different from what we are used to at home.

Upon departure we faced the most embarrassing moment of my life, the maid of our room came at the reception showing the dirty feet-floor towel that was dirty and she asked to pay for that. I am working in a Hotel and I know that some towels will be made dirty and for that reason there is the laundry. The lady has to clean the room better as it was really dirty, with a lot of dust and smells, rather to take the role of the Hotel Manager.
That awful moment ruined our day and any positive, if any point of the Hotel.
The food at breakfast was of poor quality and please do not touch the omelette.
In the TV there are more than 200 channels all in Russian.

Was interested to read a lot of the reviews on here complaining about various things that are standard for a 3 star hotel compared to a 5 star version. The location is excellent for the train station, there appears to only be one hotel closer at over twice the price. Didn't try the breakfast or restaurant but there is an excellent restaurant directly over the road - albeit at relatively expensive prices. The room has everything you need, a bed, fridge, bathroom and even cable ie international TV. Supermarket right around the corner with ATM's. No problems at all. Would definitely stay again however doubt I will ever be back in Vladivostok!

Charm-free oasis with adequate if shabby accommodation, non-caring domestics and largely monoglot reception staff who, for he most part, don't want to be there, within 15 potholed minutes of the railway station. Breakfast good and restaurant satisfactory if you want to be serenaded by loud, non-stop giant DVDs which seem to be prerequisites of the hotels frequented.

Room Tip: You can ask..I only slept in one. The corridors all smell of stale cigarette smoke so make sure the balcony door opens.

Good afternoon!
Thank you gashli time to share with us your opinion. We are very sorry that our hotel will leave you with many negative impressions. Indeed, you identified the problem of training of our staff cafe, which we began to produce work. I note that in the near future in our hotel carrying Renovated standard rooms is planned, which will provide our guests with refurbished rooms with equipment on the basis of the wishes of our guests. We very much hope that you will give us a chance and visit us again. Looking forward to new meetings!

If location is your only interest then this hotel may be for you. However there are a lot of hotels in the area which is close to the train station and only 15 minutes stroll to town. Check them out because this hotel leaves just about everything to be desired.
At check in you are met, not greeted, by virtually hostile, silent, morose staff who won't talk to you except in monosyllables (forget courteous friendly chat) and after check in ignore you if you come to the counter for anything. One of the staff actually refused to call a taxi for us because the taxi we wanted was not one used by the hotel which is nearly double the price, possibly allowing for a hotel commission.
Well, who cares about check in if the rooms are good. Second problem is a room with the cheapest fitout I have seen outside of backpackers' hostels. The room itself is a decent size and with any minimal care could be made quite nice but it had a plywood wardrobe, cheap flimsy curtains, a damaged floor poor and ugly lighting and perhaps one of the worst beds I have ever had in any hotel. We had booked a double room ie double bed which was, in fact, two singles pushed together. Fair enough, lots of hotels do that but these beds moved on the timber floor and separated and, even when they were together, the mattresses were of different thicknesses with a ridge of at least 2 or 3 cm between them. Unfortunately, our complaints on this were ignored during the 6 nights (prebooked) of our stay as were our several requests for extra pillows.
The bathroom was cleanish and basic. It was not cleaned daily but when it was it was obvious from the strong bleach smell. The soaps etc were replaced as the cleaner felt like so some days we had fresh soap and clean towels and others some or none of these changed or replaced. The same with the sheets.
So after arrival late we decide to eat in the hotel restaurant. Big mistake! We were the only people in the restaurant at about 8.30 pm which probably should have been a warning. We order from the extensive menu and after about 40 minutes my wife's food comes all together soup and main course but mine is absent. Another 10 minutes later I enquire and the waiter goes away and leaves the restaurant totally deserted except for us two diners. She comes back about 10 minutes later to say that they don't have the ingredients for the (basic) meal I ordered. I then say i will have just about anything as it is late and I'm cold and tired after a hard day's travel but she says there is nothing else in the kitchen ie a restaurant with no food. In the meantime I've tasted my wife's food which is drab, cold (it had to be sent back for heating) and tasteless.
By breakfast I was fairly hungry and prepared to eat just about anything, even the slop put out on the limited buffet bar located in the restaurant. I like Russian food but this was obviously the remains of previous meals cooked in the restaurant and, from its flavour and texture, possibly heated up several times. The bread was dry tasteless and nearly inedible. The coffee was undrinkable. The fruit served was chopped up pieces on a plate, brown with exposure and you have to pay for a whole piece of fruit. All in all the breakfast was to be endured and on several days we could not do so but went into town to eat.
Finally, if you want to get the feel of the hotel we had a bottle of water each in our room on arrival but not the next day. When we went to the counter to ask for more we were told with a scowl that we get one bottle each per stay whether that is one day or 6. We bought more cheap and that tells you lots about this hotel which fails to provide even the most basic quality and service and all that with unpleasantness verging on aggression.

Room Tip: Stay at another hotel

Hello!
Thank you for taking the time to write your reasoned comment. We are grateful to you for what you appreciated the location of our hotel. We will produce a control check of all the hotel services. We are very sorry that the accommodation we have left only negative impressions. The furniture in each room corresponds to the standards of the network of our hotel, and is a specialized hotel furniture. We are extremely saddened by the fact that she looked inappropriately for you. Indeed, our hotel co-operates with the main official carrier, but the price provided by our partner absolutely does not correspond to the market and the price when ordering directly from the carrier. We also passed your comments on the work of the catering service manual of the relevant card for adoption work. We are extremely sorry that we were not able to organize your stay at the proper level. We very much hope that you will give us a chance to correct opinion about us and visit us again. Many thanks!
