“It is a three star hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 September 2012 via mobile

A large reasonably maintained hotel. Our room was a average size and was clean but did smell a bit of smoke. We forgot to ask for a non smoking room. But it wasn't over powering. We had a good view looking towards the city. We had a beautiful breakfast in the restaurant. We didn't find the security overbearing and the team rooms were well stocked with free tea and coffee. We got milk from the local market and kept it in the room fridge. Overall a good experience for us at the best Western vega.

ITALIANO-ENGLISH
Molti negozi, gastronomie, bar, ristornati cambiavalute, aperti 24 ore.
Cena a buffet a libera scelta a 500 Rubli (12,50€) abbastanza buono. Noi abbiamo preferito l’analogo menù a 500 Rubli del vicino hotel Gamma-delta.
Camera piccola, ma con tutte le comodità. Nel corridoio servizio di acqua fresca e bollente, ferro da stiro.
Ci siamo stati otto giorni e ci siamo trovati benissimo. Da ritornarci nei prossimi viaggi a Mosca.
Molto consigliabile a tutti.

Vega hotel is part of the group of tower blocks of the 1970s, completely renovated. Maybe, Vega is the best of all other hotels in the area (Alpha, Beta, e Gamma/Delta).
Very close (3 minute walk) from Partizanzkaya Metro station (which name, until 2005, has been Izmaylovskij Park) of line 3 (blue) Line. The line is very easy for going to Red Square (5 stops, about 15-20 minutes, trains every 90-100 seconds!), the Kremlin, the Bolshoi Theater, the museums in the center, and all points of interest. Going out Metro station, turn left and you can see the skyscrapers of the four hotels.
Many shops, shops, bars, restaurants, money exchange, open 24 hours.
Not far away two shopping centers, with food market. The area is known as the "Izmaylovo Kremlin", a center rebuilt in the ‘90s with traditional buildings, the Vodka museum, souvenir shops for foreigners and Russians, etc..
Hotel in the Best Western style, international environment, whole staff speaks English. Services as every international Hotel.
Breakfast is expensive, a price that I think too much (10 euros). Dinner self buffet at 500 rubles (12.50 €) pretty good. We have preferred the same menu at the nearby Hotel Gamma-Delta.
The rooms are quite small, but are complete with all the amenities. On each floor there is a point for fresh-hot water, and iron.
We stayed eigth days, when in Moscow, and had a great time.
Highly recommended for everyone

Pros: Price, 5 Metro stops/20 minutes from Red Square, Good breakfast for Moscow price, next door to grocery/ supermarket and also to Izmailovsky Market for somewhat cheaper meals and souvenirs. Cons: staff somewhat indifferent, English variable, university dormitory- style rooms, A/C poor during heat wave, SVO or DMD airport taxi 1800-1950 rubles, (vs. cheaper ~ 400 ruble Aerotrain followed by two different metro lines with luggage).

Stayed two times over ten days, first time one night standard room, second time three nights mildly upgraded room. (Asked for non- smoking and had no trace of smoke...) Chose based on price and reviews: overall for Moscow, rooms are small/ simple but sufficient with nice hot shower and room basics at reasonable price ($70-100 per night on web), with reasonable metro accessibility to Moscow tourist sites. Wi-Fi good in lobby, poor in rooms. Breakfast has good food choices for $17 cost. Lunch and Dinner costly, similar to everywhere in Moscow. History: four large apartment- style buildings built for journalists and other visiting dignitaries for the 1984 Olympics, turned into four Greek- letter hotels. This one (Vega) owned independently under Best Western banner, somewhat more Western/ English speaking visitor- friendly than other three, but rooms and amenities otherwise very similar. (Had friends staying in Gamma- Delta)...

Quite cheap hotel with a very good quality: comfortable and clean room with wi-fi and LCD TV. Very close to the metro station (2 minutes walking): you can reach in 15 minutes (5 stops) the Red Square. If I ever come back to Moscow I will return in this hotel.

Very good hotel, conveniently located just three blocks from the subway station (Partizanskaya) coming to Red Square (Ploshchad Revolistusky station) in just 15 minutes. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. It is located in a complex of several hotels, exchange offices and several restaurants. Walking about five minutes out to the front of the hotel there is a market with prices more than convenient where you can get everything. The staff are friendly, speak some English and I found a person who speaks Italian. It can be reached via Airport Express train and two combinations in Belorusskaya metro station. On check in the staff offered coffee and cake tickets to use in the afternoon. To get the train station is about 20 minutes. VERY IMPORTANT fact: The taxys are very expensive but I found this which is 40% cheaper, Jot: EURO TAXY: (495) 960-0896
