Nice place,nice people!
Food served in restaurants is very good, also the service is impeccable.
A truly beautiful experience!
I recommend the Grand Hotel Italia for business men and those who want to relax.
The hotel also has a lovely pool and a spa.
Have a nice trip!

Large spacious hotel, many conference rooms, outside pool, very good tasty food, good location on top of the hill and quiet at the same time, very kind staff. Enough free parking spaces and well maintained. Didn't actually stay there, but I imagine conditions are excellent.

Ok there's no easy way to say this, this hotel is very much not a testament to good taste.

Let's start with the good parts:
- The beds are amazing and huge (I like hard mattresses though, so it might not be to everyone's taste)
- It has a great digital control panel that lets you control everything from the lights to the shutters
- Big rooms (more on this further down)
- Great sized bathroom with tub and a big shower
- Quiet (at least the room I was in)
- Breakfast is pretty good and they do eggs and coffee on demand which is nice, though more variety would be better.

And now the bad:
- Imposing (almost tudor/mission style) dark wood furniture covered with fuchsia coloured glass for some reason
- The headboard is white tufted something, which over time has grown to show yellow signs of wear where people have leaned their heads on it.
- Rooms are big but too sparsely furnished making them look cheap. They also have an odd mix of boxy, large furniture paired with rococo chiars and sidetables.
- Bathrooms have this brown-gold mosaic which screams Russian oligarch
- The main lobby is a massive empty space which serves no purpose, and has a Medusa/Versace mosaic in the middle of it (yes it's that kind of hotel, I'm pretty sure Versace is not associated with this establishment in any way)
- It doesn't have a concierge (which makes you wonder how it can claim to be 5 star)

If it sounds like I'm spending a lot of time talking about the decor, it's because I've not been in a hotel that is as badly and tastelessly furnished as the Grand Italia in a long time.

Staff is generally OK, but were unable to recommend good restaurants in the city, which is where a concierge might have come in handy. It might be regarded as the best hotel in the city but in my opinion it's a long way away from a true 5 star hotel, it's also located in the middle of nowhere.

Great location, impressive building, lovely rooms. With a little more detail it will be a perfect place. The spa and pool are not yet functioning and the rooms need a little more furniture. Despite all that, service, food and welcome we're perfect.
