A place of excellence! Nothing bad about this awesome hotel. Basically everything is great and it is thereby the best place to stay when visiting Manila. A big added value is Resorts World next door (internal passage) which has great stores and terrific restaurants for whenever you want to try something else than the ultimate Marriott buffet (although I couldn’t think of any good reason to do so).

Room Tip: A room on the "pool side" have a great view over the golf course and the Makati skyline.

Location: Perfect, very close to the airport, really helpful for a business traveler and not very far away from Makati, the business district

Ambiance: Lovely. Hotel was decked up for Christmas in December and was a treat. Even otherwise, the hotel lobby is spacious and well lit.

Rooms: Rooms are spacious and clean. The one's facing the swimming pool also have a view of the city which is lovely in the evenings. The rooms are quiet and comfortable and have all the amenities you would want. Sleep quality is good with a large and comfortable bed. Given the layout, it sometimes gets confusing getting to the elevator lobby. You have access only to the floor you are on and getting to any other floor is a pain.

Service: Service did leave something to be desired. The check out was exceptionally long though overall the staff was polite.

Food: The hotel has good restaurants with great food but for in room dining, not everything was available and the staff seemed more confused and not very helpful

Overall, a good experience.

Room Tip: Choose a room with the view of the city/swimming pool for a better view and preferably closer to the lift lobby

We stayed here the day before going back home to Los Angeles, the staff was great, we had 2 rooms that were both clean, and beautifully maintained. The front desk was superb, Patrick was very helpful and getting us situated, there were smiles everywhere, we really felt welcomed. The breakfast buffet was awesome. I would highly recommend this place. So accomodating!!

My wife and I only stayed one night at the hotel but the service we received was 5 star.
First a disclaimer. I am a platinum member so they treated me as such, but I would assume they give all their guest the same service. As platinum, they always give a welcome gift, which we chose the 1/2 bottle of wine and cheese. They didn't have a 1/2 bottle of red so they just gave us a full bottle. Also, we had access to the concierge lounge, which was very large and comfortable with a great view of Manila. There was always food and drinks with breakfast provided as well as hors d'oeuvres in the evening and other food throughout the day. The girls at the desk were especially helpful with the computers and scanner.
The next morning, I woke up with a fever. We were able to see the onsite doctor immediately, who gave me an exam and determined I probably had a throat infection. He wrote two prescriptions, which the concierge manager, Jun Nadres, promptly had sent out and filled. All in less than an hour. I started to feel better and we checked out and flew to our next stop in Coron.
We did not eat at the restaurants but they looked very nice. The hotel is only 3 years old so nothing is worn out yet. There is security to get into the parking lot and also an Xray machine to get into the hotel itself. The lobby/bar area is spacious and modern.
The hotel is located right across from the airport and there is a casino and shopping connected, although we did not explore.
I can't say enough about the service and how well they treated me and made sure I got prompt medical care. Especially the concierge manager, Jun Nadres.

Room Tip: Try to get a view of the golf course and not the casino/airport.

We were not originally scheduled to stay at this hotel however our plans were altered by the flood that invaded the region we were staying in (Dumangas, Iloilo). We missed our original flight to Manila due to the flood waters closing all the highways in our region. Our daughter was also sick so when we finally were able to get out of the flood zone we wanted to stay at a hotel close to the airport to minimize transportation and food costs, and maximize safety as we had heard endlessly about the Manila taxi situation for foreigners. Marriott did not disappoint.

From the moment we arrived we were impressed. There were numerous armed guards and a checkpoint with a metal gate and bomb sniffing dog to inspect arriving vehicles. Once we pulled up to the front entrance we were immediately assisted with our bags and given a baggage tag by the bellhop who told us to proceed to the check-in counter while he attended to our things.

Upon entering the property it is nothing but impressive. It was almost too much to take in at first! Google "Marriott Manila" to see what I mean!! It is a 5-star hotel all the way. Our daughter enjoyed exploring the two main floors of the hotel as they are huge. Her favorite was going up and down the grand staircase in the center of the lobby.

The front-desk staff were very friendly and our check-in was quick. We were also signed up for the Marriott Club so our in-room WiFi was free (regularly it is around 800 PHP/night).

We stayed in a regular room with a king bed and the room was huge and immaculate. The bathroom was also spacious and even had a separate shower/bath area with a wall/hand shower and an alternative ceiling mounted shower head. Everything was build with glass doors and the wall separating the shower from the main room was glass! It had a blind that could be retracted for a full view of the main room (or view into the shower for those romantics feeling frisky!).

We arrived late on our first night and by the time we got settled our daughter (20 months old) went to sleep so we ordered room service for convenience. It arrived in about 45 minutes and was amazing! The portions were huge and the food quality was very high. We were so impressed that despite not planning to have room service the next night, we ended up doing so again! We had planned to eat at one of the restaurants in the mall but it was so noisy and crowded from a concert going on in the center mall atrium we decided to just head back to our room. It was a great decision as we enjoyed the peace and quiet of our room while dining on delicious room service and watching a free movie on TV!

The only problems we had were with the cordless phone in our room was not working and the office chair not working properly (it would just drop to its lowest height upon sitting on it) and the hotel engineer quickly fixed both problems. He replaced and re-programmed our phone and brought us a brand new chair!

I used the business center to do the web check-in for our morning flight back to Canada on Korean Air and was not charged. The staff were very friendly and helpful and even printed our boarding passes in color which is normally something like 100 PHP/page. Most of the guests staying in this hotel would probably not even bat an eye at many of these fees, but we were certainly not those types of guests!

One of the best features of this hotel is the direct access to Resorts World which is a 4-story, mall with a Casino, performing arts theater, and a variety of fast food and restaurant options! There is also a 7-11 and 24-hour McDonalds located conveniently across the street from the mall (5 minute walk from the hotel, only have to exit the mall to cross the street which is never busy as it is just a mall/hotel-access road).

The next time we are in Manila, we will definitely be staying at the Marriott again!
