We were sceptical while the Uber driver was trying to find the place. The neighbourhood feels like the edges of Makati, and didn't look particularly promising. But then suddenly there was this charming tiny place wedged into the street, and once you get in - the most charming little place! The contrast is wonderful.
The rooms are a bit small, which I guess is expected for a heritage place, but the charm makes up for it. It's wonderfully finished and decorated, clean and with reasonable amenities. There is a tiny breakfast area that's an airwell which has a bit of a Mediterranean feel to it.
The staff is at hand but mostly leave you be. It feels private and cosy, and almost like you're guests in an actual lived-in home, whose master isn't often home.
I'm at a loss for why you'd go here on purpose though. However, if you have need to be in Manila/Makati already, I'd maybe rather stay here instead of a typical hotel.More
