Best thing of this hotel is the location. Right in the middle of everything.
Staff poorly trained and clumsy. They forgot to clean our room and forgot to wake us up.
No swimming pool as advertised, no room service, & very limited breakfast.

Small hotel (with one honeymoon suite, though), really inexpensive, situated on a (relatively) calm central historical street in Trujillo. Clean rooms, adequate breakfast. On the way to the central square, you'll find several restaurants and cafés (one historical with antique rooms, furniture, inside court- sorry I forgot the name) and an old toys' museum.

Korianka is frequented by peruvians and inland business travellers. It's located in town but does not belong to the most centrally located hotels of Trujillo. It faces front to a busy street, back to a school. We experienced Korianka minimalistic at the service and the breakfast. The functional rooms offer anything you basically need but aren't the cleanest. WiFi access isn't quite reliable. Apart from the big entrance hall we missed some atmosphere and room for the price - but well - Trujillo isn't the cheapest place to stay in Peru.
Positive is the 24h desk attendance (spanish speaking only).

The Korianka is aprox. 10km from Trujillo´s airport and located in the histroric center of Trujillo.
It´s a small hotel and those of you who used to stay in 3-5* hotels will "experience a significant difference" here.

Checkin was quick; my room on the second floor was very small.
No aircondition - just a fan in the room and a strange smell which the management had tried to neutralize by having put some air fresheners in the room.

Just 2-3 hangers in the closet; old carpeted floor - not looking very clean.

The bathroom: small and very thin towels.

Pool: was closed and there seems to be some construction works going on in the pool area.
I have not seen anyone working - nor has it been noisy. But the pool was covered and bricks around.

Breakfast: very, very basic. Don´t expect too much at all.

I fully agree with those other visitors who say that the location is one of the best characteristics of this hotel. And maybe it´s price.

Okay to stay here for 1-3 nights; don´t book it for your main holidays!.

Why not spending almost $40 for a single room? Place was clean, room was not huge, it was just great for one person. Bed was good, hot hot hot! shower! Loved it. Trujillo in January is not devilish hot, yet warmish to keep the fan on for a while. Loved the location, safe and clean.
Wished to have stayed in Trujillo for longer.
Includes breakfast but I didn't take advantage of it, I'd rather go to some of the main streets and eat good Chicharron de lechon with Chicha Morada, or the tasty empanadas.
Staff was good. Do not expect English speakers anywhere, that is what makes it original. If do not like it, then don't travel!
Muchas gracias Korianka!
