We have only been here for a few hours but I’m already extremely disappointed with some of this hotel’s customer service policies (though I will confirm like other reviewers that it’s a clean modern hotel with a nice view of the lake).

First, we are a big family group; we are putting 8 people into 2 rooms, 4 to a room. They are charging us $8 per person extra for breakfast for 4 people. I know that this is based on double occupancy but they are the first hotel to do that.

Finally our waiter at lunch told us their credit card machine was out (highly unlikely since we could get internet) and asked if we could pay in cash. We refused. Sorry, Casa Andino, we like the convenience of credit cards; suck it up and pay your fees like most modern establishments.

And finally the waiter asked us to tip him in cash We’ve heard that in Peru that restaurants often take the tip and only give 1% to the waiters if you tip on the credit card. But c’mon this puts us in a bad position. We did tip the waiter in cash but I think a big modern hotel like this should let us put tips on the credit card and not steal it from the waiters. The purpose of the tip is to reward service not to boost profits at the hotel.

The room was clean an confortable, the view was amazing and the staff was really helpful. We really enjoyed our stay al Lago Titicaca. The only "handicap" is the distance between the Airport and the town, so it is better if you don't are in a Hurry, but regarding the Hotel and it staff nothing to say more than Thank you

We were booked into a 'Matrimonial Superior' room which overlooked a scruffy garden where there were two dogs pooping. We asked to be moved and after some lengthy discussion were given the option of a twin room at an additional cost which we took reluctantly. The staff were indifferent in their approach apart from Mirian who was a delight and went the extra mile. She is a real asset to the hotel. The food was excellent but again, the servers did nothing to make it a notable experience. The hotel. is a long way out of town and the lake is very smelly at this location. Suggest you stay in Puno itself where there is a great selection of restaurants and places to explore.

Room Tip: Make sure you don;t overlook next door's garden

View of the lake, out of the scrum, clean and comfortable and great service. Not a hugely charismatic building, but really good service and a relaxing environment if you've given yourself a hectic schedule. Al the staff were great - Recommended.

Also, if you need oxygen, they bring it to your room. Useful (and Dennis Hopper-like).

Room Tip: Obviously, lake view and first (not ground) floor.

I wouldn’t describe this hotel as ‘luxury’ but it is comfortable and has a certain rustic quality.

Some rooms provide stunning lake views - definitely worth trying to get one. Make sure you take a walk along the jetty...simply beautiful!!!

Rooms provide everything you need including a robe and slippers...only 2 towels per person..one good size fluffy bath towel and the 2nd a small hand towel.

The onsite restaurant provides a good breakfast with a wide selection, including eggs as you like them. The dinner menu isn’t huge but the dishes I tried were delicious and beautifully cooked...the grilled chicken with pear ravioli was superb..and very reasonably priced. Service is attentive without being over the top.

This hotel is not centrally located - you need to take a taxi ride - but the location is praceful and tranquil.
