We stayed here as part of a tour so had a room looking onto the road. There seemed to be a number of dogs outside who started barking very loudly if disturbed during the night. Otherwise the room was very comfortable. We were on the first floor, so were relieved when there was a porter to take our suitcases up as there was no lift. Reception and the bar are on the ground floor, but to get to the restaurant you had to go outside and down a number of steps to a lower floor. We had travelled here from Cusco, but still found the increase in altitude an issue, so felt that a lift would have been really useful. The setting on the edge of the lake is lovely and you can see the lake from the restaurant, however, it is some way out of the town.

We stayed there for three nights. The staff worked hard to set up transportation, excursions, anything we needed. Reynaldo at the bar took care of us like we were family. We sat by the fire every night at his bar and had drinks and appetizers. They also have a nice restaurant but we love the lounge feel and the personalized service from Reynaldo. Mirian was so helpful and sweet at the front desk. Anything we needed from a tour of Silustani to boat a visit the Uros Indians she arranged (as well as transportation to and from the airport). The grounds are kept pristine, The rooms are clean, and the views are amazing. It's on the outskirts of town so you cannot walk to restaurants or bars, but they will set you up with transportation when needed and the transportation is quite inexpensive. It was our last stop in Peru and that is a great way to plan as it's the highest altitude place we visited, and the most relaxing as well. It does get a little cold there so dress appropriately.

Hotel in beautiful setting next to the lake with pier onto lake. Unfortunately it is quite a way from the town however taxis are cheap. Some Drinks in the hotel are very expensive £10 for gin and tonic and food quite dear because it's captive audience but snacks and sandwiches are generous.
As far as a disabled person is concerned this hotel is grossly unsuitable there is no lift at all and the dining room is down 3 sets of steps. I was exhausted climbing up especially on top of altitude problems.the rooms are nice and large with fridge but unfortunately our shower did not work and I cannot use a bath. They did fix it the next day.
There are some beautiful rooms which were not all occupied but I expect they keep them for people who pay a lot more. We were in a group travelling with llama travel company which I must say were marvellous and looked after us so well last thing about hotel there is free internet and paid but we had to keep logging in putting email in each time this was tedious.

Room Tip: Ask for lake view but I expect you pay more maybe aask not to be by road

the best asset of this hotel is the staff. Friendly and helpful staff we arrived early and had the courtesy to check in early. My daughter was sick with altitude and stayed at the hotel while we went to visit the Floating Islands and the staff were careful to call if everything was okay with her. We would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers
