We had an amazing experience- we took the honey tasting tour and in the butterfly house. Our guides were super- well informed and friendly. We did not take the longer tour but plan on doing so our next visit!

The property is gorgeous and the nature exceeded my expectations. The tour guide was friendly, informative, and very knowledgeable. I was really enjoying my visit which was dampened in the end by the honey tasting experience. The process is that everyone takes a two sided stick, dips it into the honey, then licks the stick. Then they are supposed to turn the stick around to use the other side. Except, well, that can be hard to keep track of. So, either they stick the end that they were clutching in their palm, or they stick the end that was just in their mouth into the honey jar. These jars get used for groups over and over. To be fair, everyone in my group went along and had a nice time. I opted out of the honey tasting because I was not willing to to participate because the hygiene does not meet my standards. I was disappointed because I was really looking forward to the honey tasting.
It would be super easy to just cut the sticks in half and have the guide dip them and hand them. If that is what they want to do with their business.
Incredible tour of this beautiful garden, extremely informative guide Quetzal, answered all of our questions about various plants, and taught us many new things about bees and the butterflies. The honey tasting was also amazing. We also did the mead tasting, and again had incredible service. Highly recommend a tour here!!
We signed up for the VIP tour & honey tasting (~2.5hrs). We really enjoyed the tour and loved seeing/learning about the native bees in the area. our guide obviously liked his work and was personally invested in the local flora & fauna. He gave us plenty of time to observe the insects/animals and to take lots of pictures. We liked the honey tasting and were impressed with all the varieties available to sample.
We did feel the $45pp price was a little steep for the experience.
I liked all the butterflies and how the guy explained very we everything about the butteeflies and how they manage to keep them in good conditions
Well worth seeing. Very interesting to see how very different beekeeping is in Panama than in the USA, not even the same bees! The honey tasting is a lot of fun.
