a solid 10 for the price!

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 4 May 2016
pros:
Itza, the owner, is an extreme friendly and helpful person. she made us feel like being on vacation at my grandmothers holiday house, took great care of us, gave good tips (get to locations for minimal prices) and organized things when necessary.
breakfast was great, on the terrace/garden next to the river with view on the orchid garden on the other side of it and the mountains.
you can even get your laundry done for a minimal charge.
the rustical-themed rooms are clean and have a lot of space to offer.
despite the fact, that in the morning some trucks bring in supplies for one of the local store (?) for the supermarket - you dont hear a thing, since the rooms are faced towards the river and the walls are pretty thick, i guess :)
another plus is the river: it kinda creates some "white noise" making it extremely fast to fall asleep.

cons:
i cannot name a single thing. seriously.

the only thing that has to be mentioned also is the location: dont rely blind on digital maps/navigators. the hostal is located on the LEFT SIDE of the bridge leading out of the village - some maps dont have this road marked down, so you might get confused trying to find it.

as for boquete:
rafting, hiking (waterfalls), quad-driving, ziplining, birdwatching? you name it. there are tons of activities in boquete.
for coffee: buy yours at the plantation. great stuff for a good price, since usually highclass coffee gets exported right away.
for photograpy: low light pollution.. you can shoot stars easily - a great motive is the river, set your tripod there and you get some awesome pics
yet,

A great, small hostel next to the river and in a calm street. The owner is a really nice lady. She takes the time for all your questions and needs.

The hostel comes with a garden and two kitchens. The kitchen utillery is old and used, but it does the job.

If you're looking for a calm and relaxing spot. This is the place to be in Boquete!

My partner & I stayed here for one night recently. It has a great location - on the river and in the center of town. Itza, the owner, is very friendly and can help with what's going on & where to go in Boquete. It has only a few rooms but more are coming. Rates were very modest. One can site outside on the bank of the river and drink your own wine while relaxing. We were very comfortable with cable TV and fast internet in a room overlooking the river. Itza is fully bilingual (Spanish/English) and grew up in Boquete.

The hotel is very nice, centrally located but in a quiet place. The central square is just one minute away. The room was very pretty, spacious and clean. The owner is very nice and helpful. A wonderful place for this price. We paid 20 dollars for a taxi to climb the volcano. The only problem was the shower which was impossible to adjust. It's either boiling hot or cold. We don't know if that's the case of all the rooms though.

We stayed 3 nights in this beautiful hostel. We got a warming welcome from Itza who is such a nice person. It's a beautiful, peaceful place full of soul. The rooms are beautiful and the bed are really comfortable. The terrace outside is breathtaking and we felt like home there. It's a small hostel but definitely the place I'll go if I go back to Boquete.
