Nice Castle, well preserved. The guide Rashid was very friendly. We expend around 45 minutes during our visit.

Worth stopping at this small castle on your way to Sur coming from the south. The castle has only a couple of rooms with coffee pots, cooking utensils and guns. There is a large central courtyard with a well. You can visit the towers and walk along the ramparts. The staff speak good English and are friendly. The castle is free but you can leave a donation.

Great place to experience history. The castle is in great shape. Allthough there are not many rooms you can visit that have authentic interior, the building and its location give you a sense of how it must have been in the old days. Next to it is a nice mosque which makes nice pictures together with te castle. The village is also nice and has some old houses with historic handcrafted doors with woodcarving. It is near Turtle Beach Resort, whicj I can recommend.

We really enjoyed the castle. It is beautiful. The views from the top of the castle are wonderful but it was so so warm!! Being from England we struggled! But it was worth it

Fort is a great stopover near Ras Al Jins.

Has a number of antique items - coffee pots, cooking pots etc. The guide on duty was friendly and despite some language barriers, tried to help explain a few things.

The fort itself is well signposted, although there is limited information in the fort to explain things. A guide sheet, aka Bahla would help.

Big plus, too - compared to some other forts/castles in the district, it has another great advantage - it was OPEN... (something that can not be guaranteed for many of the others.)
