We had a hard time finding the place as the signboard was not clear, the reason given by the house keepr, Mr Choong was to prevent outsider from coming in. It was a long drive up to the bungalow and it was a bit creepy at first as the drive way was covered with forestation, however it was a treat to the eyes once we cleared the driveway, the bungalow exudes the old classic English charm, most of the furniture were antique, as my family do not appreciate antiques, we felt that some of the furniture can be upgraded or refurbished. Even the water heater in 2 of the bathrooms were gas heated, we had a fun time watching the fire came on to boil the water when we turn on the heater, but controlling the heater can be a challenge. The place provided clean towels but do remember to bring your own shampoo and bath gel, the place only provided bar soap.
The place has a huge garden and it was perfect for our kids to play balls and everyone had a fun time. The garden was well kept and beautiful with flowers in bloom. Mr Choong was very friendly and he has a small vegetable farm within the premise which we visited. The living room has a small TV and DVD player, so do remember to bring some DVD for entertainment. We catered bbq from Mr Choong on the last night, the roast leg of lamb was perfect though we thought the bbq was a bit pricey. Having said that I still think it was charming to have bbq in the garden under the stars.
I would definitely recommend the place for group with more than 10 person as the place is big with 4 bedrooms, it is a beautiful place though a little run down in the interior, but the big and beautiful garden made up for it.
