Lagenda Park is a massive park decorated with statue, hut, lake, pond and most of these are about the myth of langkawi itself. Its really nice as it gives you a very relaxing atmosphere when you take a walk around the park when you have nothing else to do, located in Kuah near Langkawi Fair Shopping Mall and Eagle Square. I heard they closed it for 2years before opening it again recently? But I didnt see any renovation involve except for afew new looking resting shelther and some new plants along the pavement beside the beach? Not sure how the park looks like before thou..Can clearly see some new structure thats suppose to show the myth of langkawi...
But sadly....most of statue are all very dirty and broken now, the description panel are all blank now, might be because they never maintain them...the pond are full of mosquito because the machine thats suppose to move the water wasnt on and left there to rot..theres people living in those exibition hut thats suppose to showcase the myth and culture of langkawi...? Good thing is they do maintain the garden around the park, saw alot of gardener and road sweeper walking around...I guess the best thing is the beachside, really good view and seabreeze...but again the bench wasnt maintain so its very dirty...We only see 2-3 tourist inside the entire park so might not be a good idea for solo female traveller as its very quiet on certain area of the park..;)
Overall, Lagenda Park really has a good potential if they put in money to maintain it and I believe the place will be lovely at night...I will say its quite worth the time spent thou..;)
