Just finished dinner here and we are extremely disappointed. The view and the service were great but the food was poor (that’s being generous). We ordered garlic prawns but sadly got battered prawns that were just tasteless, the whitebait tasted more like battered scraps from an old fish and chip shop in the UK. The liver patè wasn’t very nice either. Be aware that nearly every dish is served with garlic dip...not very original.

On a positive the bread was nice. Having now read other reviews I’m aware that the owner of the restaurant will probably just come back with his usual stuck reply. My suggestion would be to take into account the feedback and work on fixing things. To anyone thinking of visiting I wouldn’t waste your money if you like good food.

Thank Lewis B

Good selection and choice of meals and very friendly staff. Nice to sit on the verandah and drool over the beautiful craft moored on the dock and feed the local fish too. Worth the visits.

My friends and I (6 of us) visited Tapaz earlier this evening intending to have our dinner there. We wanted to sit closer to the water but were told (quite rudely) by the Owner that those tables were for smaller parties.

My friend, who wanted to order the burger, asked if the Dijon mustard on the burger could be swapped with yellow mustard instead, to which the Owner replied “you should go to the MacDonald’s then”!! How rude is that??

I wanted to order some tapas (as he was taking our drinks order) and he just shoved the tapas list at me and said “write it down”!

He lost our business for sure!! We will never go back there!

hello

Sorry for your trouble and being the cause for to write such a long subjective review.

The paper and pencil you get at Tapaz is to cross your order of the Tapaz........

The large table by the sea was not to ur liking, u wanted to join small tables, instead, ........ as an alternative i offered you to sit on a table with six seats, under the awning with a fan. as it is a table that sits 6, it is very suitable for a group of six.

You should be understanding too, that we earn a living in this business and need every guest during the short season.

Even after you punished us with leaving the restaurant, we where lucky that not only all small tables where occupied as well as the 6 top you where sitting at.

We are very sorry we could not give you any yellow mustard and only dijon.
( Just imagine how many reviews we would get if we use yellow mustard in a mediterranean restaurant).....

As you will not be back i guess i do not need to buy any yellow mustard or hot dog relish.

Tooooo bad you could not review our delicious burger on stone oven backed bread with feta cheese and dijon mustard.

Save travels

We came here multiple times, and found the classic Malaysian dishes as good as the tapas and western fare. The staff were great, and the owner was always there to oversee and offer tourist travel tips. The beer ATM is fun too!
