Took the room with double bed. Room is expected small with little walk way. For business traveller, this will fit me just nice. But this time was for family of 3. It's a little too compact. No place to put belongings. It's 20 mins away from the castle, no direct train service from there. There are 2 convenience stores nearby. Price is reasonable and the hotel staffs service is good and polite. Surprisingly the carpark is all full. Guess it is a busy season.

The motel offers you a small tidy room with enough comfort for a short stay. It is neat, clean and well maintained although during my stay it was undergoing renovations after the recent earthquake. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. The restaurant is great and specialised in the local dishes. It's a small walk (8min) to the tram and then another 10min trip into the CBD. There are many local restaurants within walking distance to the hotel. I had a great stay.

Very close to the gymnasium for my martial arts training. On the wide road with regular trams to the city. Adequate rooms and bathroom with cleaning done everyday. Value breakfast inclusion. Right across from the lovely Suezenji Gardens.

This hotel was also in Japanese style with the room very small. This hotel is very old and there is not a lot of room to do much but to sleep inside it. There is a TV, a bar fridge, poor air conditioning and the strong signal wifi that was the best deal. The room still had a one plate stove on which to cook water for tea. The plugs inside the room is not located in the best positions.
Breakfast comes in Japanese and Western style and if you are visiting, I would suggest you go with the Western option. The staff was very friendly at reception, but don't speak a lot of English. The bus from and to Kumamoto airport stops close to the hotel, making it very accessible.
There is also a 7Eleven store about 500 m from the hotel, to purchase some daily consumables. There is also a Japanese restaurant closer to the hotel and it provides for some Japanese food experience.
My room faced the road, so at times it was busy and I could hear the cars.

Room tip: Stay in a room facing the main road to have a nice view.
