Situated a bare 100 meters from the east gate of the station. Buses operate from the west gate, but there is a taxi stand at the east gate as well. Reception is on the third floor with access on the first floor between two pachinko halls which are very noisy inside but because of good sound proofing is not a bother. What IS a bother is the cigarette smoke in the hall where the elevators are. The room is well equipped, nice bathroom. the view was a blank wall...

My wife and I stayed here for one night. One of us has asthma, that can triggered by environmental factors, including cigarette smoke.

Unfortunately, despite the room being non-smoking, there was still a very detectable scent of cigarette smoke. It is probably not the fault of the hotel, as I believe it is the entire building that has this smell. The hotel is on floors 3 and above. But the cigarette smell hits you as soon as you enter floor 1, where there is a Pachinko parlor. It seems that this smell comes up from there and permeates pretty much the entire building. Anyway, virtually no sleep was to be had, as several coughing fits were had throughout the night.

The location is extremely convenient, and the room is spacious for a city in Japan with it including a small living area with a couch and desk area. However, the room is also dated and oddly decorated, as there was only one night stand for a queen sized bed. Possible mold stains on the ceiling and in bathroom may have also been a contributing factor to the night of coughing.

For someone with no asthma problems, and needing a place to sleep near the station for a night, this place is a convenient solution should you not mind a dated somewhat dingy stay.

The hotel is just next to the east gate of Hakata station. Although the west gate has more bus available and restaurants, the hotel is still convenient. The hotel is old, but clean and size relatively large. Staff are helpful.

Some comments mentioned smoke smell. I could not smell smoke. In fact, the room was clean and smell-free. Recommend this hotel.

The hotel is right outside of the Hakata station, which is center of the Fukuoka. The hotel is very old and kind dirty. I found old gum paper on the sofa and it looks like it has been there for a very long time. The room is very dusty and the hall way has a smoky smell to it. Not a good place if you have other choices.

We stayed here for two nights. Room was pretty compact and we found it hard to open our luggage.
Hotel is close to the JR station and that made it very convenient for us to move around. Food is not a problem as eateries are every where.
Staff were not too friendly but I have to say efficient.
A pleasant two nights stay for us.
