I love trying local foods everywhere I go and especially in Japan, it’s pretty hard to eat something that doesn’t taste good. I was very very excited to visit this area and it was an awesome experience! It’s very hard to see street food vendors in Japan so I had this marked down as part of the trip schedule. I agree with the other reviews that you need to choose wisely when you go, take a look at the menus, a lot of them have it in different languages. Also part of the charm is being crowded in the little booth with all the other local people and tourists trying things out. I have included photos of the one I went to, whether it was the yakitori or the oden soup, everything was delicious. The only caveat is that you have to order a drink with your food and it’s one order a person. If you are not into loud and crowded spaces this is not for you. I also don’t recommend going for a meal but instead going for a late snack or some beer food. There are couple of areas set up for this so be sure you find the long row and not just the place with a couple of booths. Hopefully this helps, kanbai!
