I stayed six nights at the Fresa and would definitely recommend it. Decent sized rooms with space to move, comfortable bed, centrally located near the centre and a host of interesting restaurants of all types, even a very good craft brewery nearby. Basic breakfast was included but is inexpensive if you need to buy it.

We were in Yokohama for a family wedding. This hotel was perfect for us all to have individual rooms, meet for breakfast in the dining room, and located right next to Bashamichi metro station exit. Easy walking distance to the Yokohama Wheel for some sightseeing and good over of Yokohama. The rooms were spotless, refreshed every day and staff on front desk very helpful. Rooms cosy by Australian standards, but represented great value for money. Would highly recommend as a place to base yourself if just needing a clean bed and bathroom.

We stayed here prior to our cruise. It was easy to reach from the subway - we used the exit with the elevator and walked around the corner. Then we walked to the Pier the next day. All flat and a beautiful stroll. The hotel was very welcoming and took care of our luggage when we arrived early. There is a small fridge with free soda so by the time we had that, our room was ready. Very helpful and kind check in staff. Our room was quite spacious and we had a large, comfortable bed, with one side being against the wall. We didn't feel cramped at all with our suitcases. The breakfast was not as "western" as some hotels but the creamed cabbage and potato was delicious as were some of the other goodies on offer. There is also bread, butter, jam. Great coffee. Enjoyed the experience.

Stayed here solo for 3 nights in end-October 2017 for the (aborted) Yokohama Marathon. Getting here from Yokohama station was easy as the hotel was right at the doorstep of exit 3 of Bashamichi station on the local subway Minatomirai line. Reception was on the second floor which was accessible via lift. Checking-in was a breeze.

The room was typical of that in a Japanese business hotel – small but adequate and functional. What I found particularly useful was the charging cable already provided at the table (USB for Apple devices, and micro-USB for Android devices), which saved me the trouble of having to use my own charging cables. Toiletries were adequate. House-keeping was satisfactory although there were specific written rules about housekeeping e.g. the room would not be cleaned if there were too many personal items lying around.

Breakfast buffet was available at 800 yen per person. The spread was a tad small consisting of mainly Japanese dishes and some confectionary items. Advisable to take a look at the spread first before buying the breakfast coupon from the front desk. Free coffee was available from 3 pm to 11 pm every day.

Surrounding amenities were plentiful and within walking distance. There were at least 2 mini-marts within a minute’s walk. I also walked to Red Brick House and the shopping centre World Porters. I found the hotel a convenient point to start my morning jogs towards the harbour area too.

All in, this is a convenient hotel and reasonably-priced. Will stay here again on my next visit.

Thank you for staying at Sotetsu Fresa-Inn Yokohama Sakuragicho. I hope your enjoyed your stay at our hotel. As you mentioned, our hotel is very close from subway station, "Minatomirai Line, Bashamichi Station". Also, there are couple of convenient stores such as Lawson, Seveneleven, and Family Mart, around our hotel. There are lots of place to eat, so it may be good to look around and have breakfast and dinner outside. We are close and walking distance to famous tour spots like Red Brick Warehouse and harbor. The view of surrounding is pretty good, so it is good area to have jogging or walking in the morning. It was good to hear that our mobile phone charger helped you. We are glad to hear that you could stay comfortably and have good time. If you have another chance to visit Yokohama, please come back again. We are looking forward to serve you again. At last, thank you for your feedback and comments.

We decided to stay here since it was close enough to the Osanbashi Pier and within walking distance to Chinatown and the Yokohama Baseball Stadium.
The staff spoke just enough English to help us out during our three-day stay. The staff was absolutely wonderful and were so kind and helpful. The provide us with pajamas, slippers and even an umbrella when we left the hotel for our daily walks

Room Tip: Get a room with a view and ask for a high floor.
