Stayed in a small twin bed room probably 10x10. Room was clean with a small seating area and tv in the wall. Not recommended for taller visitors as the bed will be too small. I'm 5'7" and my feet is almost to the edge of the bed. Room has one unusual feature that there's a window into the bathroom/shower. There a shade you can pull down for privacy but it's just a little unusual. Can't complain about the price as we spent less than $60 which includes breakfast. Hotel is located to the left as you exit the central gate at Okayama station on the second floor. Catch the elevator up to the 5th floor where the lobby is located. Room key is needed to access elevator to rooms. Wired and wireless internet is free in rooms.

This hotel is right next to the station. The lobby is on the 5F, so a short elevator ride is needed. Check-in by is a little different from other hotels as you need to pay be yourself (if using credit card) at a machine. If by cash, at the counter as usual.
The room was very clean and a trendy one too.
Breakfast however is a lot to desire with continental options not enough.

Excellent location, breakfast, very nice rooms, great service and friendly staff. One of the GSA could speak very good English. Location is at the train and bus station. Many places to eat and shop. Very similar to European train station hotel,. rooms are about the same size. Very safe area.

Room Tip: Could not hear train day or night, any side is fine.

We were looking for a budget / business hotel for 1 night stay at Okayama while we're travelling along the JR line. We found this new hotel via jalan.net which greatly exceeded our expectation.

The location is perfect if you're travelling by JR. It is right next to the JR Okayama station and it only took you 1-2 minutes from the gate to the hotel lobby (well, provided that you know your way). There were always business hotels around JR stations but no many hotels are THAT close to the station. There are shopping malls and supermarkets right down stairs so it's very convenient.

The hotel was very new and the lobby was very stylish with a great view to the JR Okayama station, because the lobby isn't on the ground floor. Most business / budget hotels in Japan won't have such a spacious and a "star hotel alike" lobby. The room was also good and quite spacious (by Japan biz hotel scale), and very clean as per majority of hotels in Japan. The only drawback I'd say was the breakfast - it's really so so, the very standard Japan biz hotel type of breakfast.

Probably because it was new then the room rate was quite low relatively to its newness and location. The rate was lower than other famous biz hotel chain. If you can find a good rate to this hotel when you're visiting Okayama, you should definitely try this.

This hotel is located next to JR Okayama station, above a small shopping mall. It's very convenient for people looking to stay near the rail station. In Japan, hotels next to rail stations are usually either expensive or old. Perhaps both. But this hotel is quite different, it was opened recently in 2012, and the room rate is quite low even for a business hotel.

When I reached the fifth floor of the building, I was surprised to see a lobby that should belong to a 3~4 star hotel, rather than the usual simple design of Japanese business hotels. The lobby is decorated in modern taste. It is located on the fifth floor and the side it faces the street are fully covered with glass. You can just sit down in the lobby and watch the city view outside. Okayama may not be the biggest city in Japan, but it's still a view at night. Train lovers can also observe the different trains passing below the hotel. The staff are nice and helpful, just like other Via Inns. There are check-out machines located in the lobby for automatic check-out in the morning.

I have booked a deluxe single room for one night. It's not the biggest hotel room I have seen, but it's well decorated with a wooden flavor. I will say it's a cozy room. You have to take off your shoes at the entrance area. The room has a very large flat TV, a set of Japanese room chair and table so you can relax while watching the TV. The bed has a bolster on it, and the bathroom has a window so you can see through your room's window while taking a bath. The service guide in my room has my room number printed on it, which is quite interesting. Most of what I mentioned above are rarely to be find in any hotels I have stayed in. Which makes this hotel very special.

The breakfast is simple. But OK considering that it's free for all. You can sit on the counter next to the large windows, and watch the city view while eating. Generally speaking this hotel is a very comfortable one. The location is very good too. But the most important thing is, it's much cheaper than other hotels of similar grade. That's what I really love about this hotel. However, since the hotel is quite close to a busy rail station, I was able to hear the station's PA announcement several times in the morning. I was too tired to be disrupted by that. But if you are a light sleeper, make sure to ask for a room that face away from the station.

Room Tip: The hotel is quite close to a busy rail station. If you are a light sleeper, make sure to ask for a room face away from the station.
