When we originally booked here, we booked what was advertised: an apartment.

When we arrived and was given the keys to our 'apartment', we were surprised to find that we were shown to a room. We mentioned this to the manager, but according to their system we had only booked a room and if we wanted to upgrade to an apartment it was a further £180. Of course we were a little annoyed by this, as we felt like we have been misled. In the end, we decided to keep the room but asked if they could supply us with a fridge for cold water and food etc, and again we were chucked a price for the fridge.

In terms of food and drinks at Odyssey, I had spaghetti Bolognese twice, first time was very nice, however the standards dropped from there. Second time I had spaghetti, i could tell it was tinned spaghetti. The chicken burger was soggy and way too thin and small for the bun and same with the beef burger. The drinks were expensive; I ordered a lager and archers with lemonade and that came to 45tl, I think I was cheated there. Prices changed practically everyday depending who served you. If you are planning to book here, ask for the price list for drinks!

Also they give you a kettle with no mugs, and the kettle inside was filthy! It needed to be cleaned. The furniture had stains and writing on them. Room had a dressing table but no chair to go with it.

Pros: good internet connection, housekeeping every 3 days, room service, 5 mins walk to beach, nice pool area... But is it enough to book again with Odyssey? No.

We have spent our holiday in Oddsey Residence. First of all, the design of the hotel and the rooms are good. It is in Çalış area which is close to Fethiye center (approx.10 mins by car) and Ölüdeniz (approx 15-20mins by car). You are going to use public beach which has a bit windy sea side. So we decided to visit other beaches close to the area. But during our 1week vacation, our room cleaned only once!! Towels are old or bad used. I know the whole staff are friendly however it appears management of the hotel is not so professional. Also as it mentioned in other comments, the breakfast is limited. Do not expect an amazing Turkish breakfast. They need to add some new tastes or at least try to change the menu sometimes... In a nutshell, prices are good, you can have an economic holiday here but do not expect something great! Staff are really friendly, room designs are very good.

We booked the Odyssey residence for a stay from the 18th to the 25th of October. Having stayed at the Diana Residence (2 hotels away) and loving it, I was disappointed with having to book elsewhere as the Diana apparently no longer took bookings.

We new with it being near the end of the season that it would be quiet but we were told on the website that our room was "the last one remaining" so we thought maybe we'd have some neighbours but no, we were the only ones there the whole week and didn't the staff know it.

Firstly, we were greeted by the receptionist who was sleeping in the reception (granted it was 3 in the morning) who was very passive and seemed annoyed at us even being there. He took us to our room which was on the top floor, all the way along from the reception (remember, we were the only people staying there).

Our room consisted of a bed, a dressing table, a wardrobe, 2 chairs and a bathroom with 1 roll of toilet tissue and some soap and looked nothing like advertised on the website.

First problem was the bed. I sell beds for a living so I like to think I can judge a good bed from a bad one but one third of the whole mattress had completely collapsed which meant no one could lie there and the rest of it was the hardest, most rubbish feeling thing I have ever slept on. The mattress was dirty, as were the sheets. Then we move on to the poor excuse for pillows. We looked at reviews before we came and someone described them as broken cotton wool. This is the most precise description you could give them. Imagine taking a handful of cotton balls of uneven size and throwing them in a pillow case. You just go right through them and it's like lying on the mattress plus you only get 2.

Second, towels. We we provided 2 bath towels, and 3 hand towels. The website claims fresh towels every day. We received NONE for the whole week and because the staff were so ignorant we didn't want to complain. We were forced to use the HAIRDRYER to dry our towels.

Now the shower. The shower is either a standard shower head or there is also a rainfall head. The rainfall head was completely blocked so that didn't work. Also, being it a wetroom style shower, the floor was lowered where the shower was but not enough so water flooded the bathroom and we had to use those soaking towels from before to stop it going under the door and into the rest of the hotel room. This was not the main issue though. The website claims 24/7 hot water. Between me and my partner we had about 4 and a bit hot showers for the whole week and obviously going out for the day then going out at night we were both generally showering twice a day.

I have stayed in far cheaper hotels in my time and a refrigerator is a staple hotel room item but not in this one which meant no cold water on those hot days. Plus there wasn't even a bin so we left them a few bags of rubbish (not sorry). No chairs or table on our balcony and the fly net had massive holes in it.

Sort of on the same line as the towels our room was never made up for our whole stay.

The raised wooden path from our building to the exit/reception was completely buckled and broken and was a trip hazard to anyone and because it wasn't lit at all, you couldn't see where you were going or where the broken bits of wood were.

Not once did anyone from the hotel ever speek to us or even give us a glance as we passed going out and when we left we again woke the guy up who was just rude and the only thing he said before asking what time our pickup was at was "Bye"

Honestly the worst place I have stayed on holiday and I had such high hopes for it. Obviously towards the end of the season the staff just give up caring for their guests but that still doesn't excuse the fridge, bin, tables, chairs or hot water situation.

Please if you are going to Fethiye, try and find a way to book the place across the road it looks so much nicer and there's entertainment etc or if you can get the Diana Residence I assure you it is fantastic and the staff are always wonderful there.

My son and his partner and 4 children stayed recently at this hotel in an apartment. It was excellent from start to finish. The food was lovely, the apartment clean and the staff were absolutely brilliant. Unfortunately, my son and his family had to leave early due to a family member being unwell and eventually dying. However, the staff were extrememely helpful and helped us to re-schedule flights allowing us to use their phone and helped us re-arrange airport transfers as we did not speak turkish etc. For the 5 days the family had out of their original 8 night stay it was amazing from start to finish. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel especially if you want a family holiday with young children. Many thanks to all the staff for their assistance and help and support with our family crisis. Hope to see you next year.

Room Tip: We had a side room but this was lovely
