We had a great, relaxing holiday. The standard of service, the helpfulness of the staff, the cleanliness of the hotel and the quality of the food were all first class.
What can I say - There were always plenty of sun beds whenever we went down or returned from the beach - so nice not to have sun bed wars at silly o’clock. The private area on the beach was a few minutes walk away. The sandy beach and clear sea were wonderful, but the experience was made even better by the lovely Ercan - nothing was too much trouble for him. He moved beds, brought round drinks, ice creams, watermelon and sandwiches, he even swept the sand off the bed when you went into the sea. He is a great guy!
The guys and girls at the pool bar were similarly attentive bringing round drinks, slushies and cold towels. There were smoking and non smoking areas round the pool and I can honestly say as a non smoker I didn’t notice the smoking at all and happily sat anywhere.
The buffet food was outstanding - always hot, fresh and well prepared. Not sure how they did it but they did. Every night there were special and signature dishes. One of the hardest decisions was deciding what to have. The Al carte restaurants were great the food was excellent and the waiters made you feel like old friends. Certainly worth a visit or two.
The evening entertainment in the sunset bar was fun and varied and our go to place after dinner. Great acts and fun nights - the silent disco was brilliant lots of fifty/sixty+ somethings giving it some stick!
The cocktails were fantastic even my husband tried some! There was a good choice, mojitos, daiquiris margaritas, etc all expertly made. The bar staff would also try to make things that weren’t on the drinks menu if you asked (but would advise having google translate to hand - can save some confusion- lol)
The Hotel is amazing, but would recommend walking to Side old town and harbour. A nice walk along the beach front there are some nice shops and bars along the way, although some quite pricey. The roman ruins and artefacts in Side old town are a must visit we felt lucky we were so close to them.
Ergin - You really impressed us. It was great to see a General Manager who was so passionate about his hotel and his guests experience. You were always visible, helping out in lots of places and setting a great example to your team. It's a lovely touch that you take the time to speak to all your guests, make sure they are all okay and even see them off and the end of their stay.
This was our First visit - will not be out last, already planning for next year.
