The Lighthouse, to us, feels like a home from home. The second we arrive, all stress disappears and we just relax in to its charming, friendly and hospitable atmosphere. For those who have visited in the past, there are some changes to the team but the new guys are also very good, supported by the ever excellent Emin, Ozzie and of course Ozan and Gillian. We were lucky enough to be able upgrade to the wonderful Melissa Pool Suite once it became available. Thank you for that. I personally believe that the food served in the evening has improved over previous years. What is lovely is that there are now other nationalities staying at the Lighthouse, not just Brits, so it was a pleasure to be able to meet new and interesting people, but also have the chance to be completely alone if wanted,at the beautiful beach front. Gillian and Ozan have also just set up a stunning newromantic hotel , The Mandalina, just further around the Peninsula, with Gillian spending much time there and Ozan being more at the Lighthouse. Whilst we didn't stay at the new hotel, we were able to see some of the rooms, which are absolutely beautiful, including Turkish bath type of facilities. However..... whilst we plan to come back to the Lighthouse, next year, we will definitely have a longer visit at the Mandalina. Thank you agin Team Light House for another fantastic holiday. Yours in the only hotel that we ever return to on a regular basis.

We have just left the 'Lighthouse' in Kas having spent a wonderful four nights at the hotel.

The setting and the views are truly spectacular. I found myself just sitting there taking in the views for hours on end.

The rooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable. They don't have TV's in though and this seems to have been a conscious decision of the hotel management. (There is a TV available though if you want to watch any major sporting events!) The room is cleaned beautifully each day.

The staff are fantastic and could not have done enough for us, from recommending local restaurants to organising an incredibly reasonable private boat trip. Particular mentions to Kamran, Ameen (the gentleman who organises breakfast) and Ozi.

We loved the swimming in the sea and sunbathing on the pontoon, a brisk swim from the shore. We even saw a sea turtle swim a few meters away from us there!

If you are looking to escape for a few days then I could not recommend this hotel strongly enough. The views are truly stunning and the staff really do make this place very special. It's unsurprising they get so many repeat visitors, of which I hope to be one!

We had a great one night stay at Deniz Feneri
It was quite windy but still enjoyable to stay near the sea. Staff is very nice. Breakfast is delicious especially their crispy pancakes! I should have asked for the recipe!
Rooms are clean and simple. We had a nice sea view.
You have to go by car to Kas but the way is easy.

First of, My stay was just an overnight at the of the season and they were about the shut down the hotel for the winter season. So I cannot really say if this was like a general look in the peak season but i will try to cover as simple as possible for you.

Location is pretty good. You get afternoon sunshine a lot and this is a place to watch sunset if there is good weather which is the fact here anyway.
Rooms are over the hill situated as annex buildings. They are spread so they all have different views i guess. Room I stayed had Sea view, nice balcony to chill, and equipped with most of the essential standards. This is a plus for this kind of hotel. There is only TV missing but this is not considered a downside if you ask me.

Breakfast is not plenty but tasty and more like continental choices.
Lunch and Dinner N/A

Most of the travelers are grumbling about the stairs to the sea. To me its more like a trail, its not a downside. But be aware of that. Its a steep way.

Wifi is the only downside of this hotel.

As a summary its really a getaway location. Good customer service. Nice place to chill in a peaceful environment. Can recommend.

Room Tip: Rooms are quiet. All might have different views.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
This contemporary waterfront hotel has sweeping coastal views and awe-inspiring sunsets which reflect off the water. It has an intricate design of natural stone buildings with paths leading from the reception area through a series of pretty terraces - past several pools, garden terraces and impressive palm trees - to either the Waterfront Suites above or to the extensive private waterfront below. At a glance, the cool combination of natural stone with red roof tiles creates the impression of a mediaeval-style village - but Deniz Feneri is rather more up to the minute than that. Thanks to the considerable efforts of owners, Gillian and Ozan, the contemporary boutique hotel offers one of the finest places to relax and unwind in coastal Turkey. With a quality of service to match. ... more   less
