“Value for money”

My friend Tracey & I (Sonia) arrived back yesterday 28/04/2012 after a week in the Chich Khan - I had read some negative reviews about being pestered on the streets outside the hotel by scouts and was a bit nervous about going here as we are two women - yes we were pestered to go into non fixed priced shops but soon as you say no thank you, you are then left alone. The shop opposite the hotel is the best for your fakes & bargains and the service in there is brilliant very helpful non pressurising staff !!

The food was ok but very same ole same ole - ensure your chicken is cooked properly as mine was raw in the middle and if I had not noticed I would of been very unwell

The staff at the hotel work very hard to be pleasing and are always very happy & smiling.

The animation team were brilliant except Joe & Teeto who were very annoying and disrespectiful with the women including touching there breasts, Carda however was a lovely young man and very respectful.

The evening entertainment was ok and sometimes very funny - there is a disco under the hotel.

If you decide to go on a horse & cart ride pay at the end of the ride as they give you a half hour price and give you 15 minutes - we paid 20 denar for four of us which works out to about £2.30 each.

A very big tip for any any of you reading this review ( we didn't take any vodka but wish we did) - buy a bottle of Smiroff Vodka on the plane for £11 and this will get you at least £80 or 160 denar's worth of goods from the shop opposite !! Smirnoff is like liquid gold in tunisia and you can certainly haggle with it - or just buy lots of miniatures and tip the waiters with them & you will be treated like royalty !!

So go & enjoy your holiday !!!!

They say you get what you pay for, if you go to this hotel with champagne taste and beer money then your being unrealistic, but you actually get a good resort, great hotel, friendly attentive staff, yes the food is a lot of the same but so many choices you eat something different every meal.

Locally the shopping is good the hotel is in a very centrally located, why not grab a taxi from the hotel and visit nearby Hammamet, this will cost 7 dinar on the meter.

Entertainment at the hotel wasn't my cup of tea but the animation team always gave 110% - will we go back YES

Well done to all the staff and team at the Chich Khan

just got back from a week at this hotel all the staff were great especially the animation team, tito, meemo, kader, marwen the girls the dj chou chou, and anyone else i forgot lol, were great really, made my holiday. food was lovely hotel was fantastic looking back to going there soon ** tanya ** xx

old hotel but parts of hotel being updated could not fault hotel or staff food very good and plenty to drink we stayed for one week in april and enjoyed will return soon thank you for a nice holiday

We Dont understand all the negative reviews on this hotel, ignore them. some people are too picky! We found it to be great, staff cant do enough for you, from reception staff to the maids they are all good. The waiters in the restaurant are brilliant, replenishing your drinks and clearing away your plates, and chatting to you.
The room was nice and big and very clean.
Our only minor complaint was the fact we felt we couldnt sit round the pool and relax due to the animation team being there and constantly wandering around pestering and the loud music. when im away i prefer to just sit and read and relax and not be bothered. But this was the only thing, and wouldnt put me off returning again.
We stayed a week and wished it lasted longer.
Had a henna tattoo done by the lady nr the shop in the hotel and then she topped it up for free day before we left. There is a few guys in the hotel foyer near the shop who come round and ask you if you want to go on various trips etc, they are cheaper than the thomas cook tours. We wished we had used one of the guys instead of using the thomas cook tour for going to the zoo as it never turned up on the day it was supposed to so had to reschedule! The guys in the foyer selling these trips dont pester a simple no thanks and they get the message.
All in all we had a fantastic holiday and will def be back.
