“4th visit, amazing hotel!”
Reviewed 29 April 2012

I returned home from my 4th visit three weeks ago and cant wait to go back already. I went with my best friend which was her first time here and couldnt wait to show her the hotel i speak so highly about! I also went with another good friend who had been once before and wanted to visit again with us! I have been to many hotels around the world with my parents but never found a hotel as great as The Orangers. The surrounding gardens of the hotel are beautiful with lovely flowers and orange trees, which is great to see as we dont get to see orange trees in Scotland! The rooms are fantastic with comfortable beds and interconecting rooms if traveling as a group which is very handy. The cleaners are a massive help, they provided fresh towels and beach towels daily if needed and always made your bed leaving a flower for us. The beach resteraunt is great- sitting in the sun with friends and a bottle of rose wine is something I definately miss! The waiters and bar staff are an absolute credit to the hotel and is a pleasure to have met and be served by them all. All the staff never fail to put a smile on your face! The entertainment staff are one of the main reasons i keep visiting this hotel, they are fantastic! Yoga with Billy and Dina outside in the sun certainly started off my day :-) There is plenty activities to do throughout different times of the day from mini-golf, basketball, beach velleyball, water aerobics, boules, archery, darts and more. Evening entertainment is something I always look forward to. From a traditional tunisian night with belly dancers to broadway shows to comedy shows (which always had me laughing!) the shows are always followed by a club dance which is great fun! There is something for everyone. The whole entertainment group including Billy, Steve, Dido, Mido, Pinnochio, Arwa, Dina, Khemais and Freddy all work very hard with long hours. The weather was great, a few rainey spells but nothing we werent used to coming from Scotland. The hotel is fantastic and worth every penny!
We can't wait to go back!

The Orangers Hotel was a great choice in many ways. The staff were helpful, friendly and polite. The standard of food was exceptional. What really made our holiday was The Animation Team. A well organised and fun group of individuals. Pinnocio by far was our favourite..... Friendly, entertaining, professional. His lovely smile would make us smile :-)

We stayed in this hotel just last week in April 2012. It was the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in on an All Inclusive basis. We’ve never been to Tunisia before and it was better than we could have ever imagined. Its a sunny, happy, warm, colourful and friendly place to stay. After listening to other people in the UK talking about hassle in Tunisia at shops and the Medinas I was dreading it but found that despite a few over enthusiastic sales folk, mostly the haggling and gentle pestering was fun and didn’t involve giving away every penny you had as everything was fairly inexpensive. The main touristic months apparently are July and August so its a relatively quiet time of the year to go and you actually feel like its a good thing to do and quite rewarding to buy a few little bits and help them out . We went on a guided tour of places like Carthage (important ruins) and the Bardo Museum (full of really great mosaics), Tunis the capital city with its very uniquely Tunisian Medina, bought Lokum and went to a Perfume shop and Sidi Bou Said and found it was better to be with a guide who showed us the best places to buy from without too much hassle as we went as a big group. Also went on the African Dream trip with Thomas Cook which was really nice to Friguia Park (lots of animals to see, everything from lions and elephants to mongooses and meerkats. Then we had Zulu and Tunisian entertainment, singing and dancing and a 3 course meal and unlimited red wine and soft drinks all included. There is also a welcome tour which is great if you’ve never been to Tunisia as you get to see Hammamet old Medina (town) and the more modern Medina at Yasmine Hammamet, meet the flower hat men and have a nice refreshment stop at a cafe.
Back to the hotel, first of all, here at Les Orangers Beach Resort All Inclusive really does mean All inclusive. You could eat and drink when you like on the beach, the beach restaurant, the bars, snack bars, main restaurant and for 24 hours a day so you would never go hungry or thirsty. Restaurant and bar staff all spoke really good English and were funny, friendly and happy to serve you. We have rarely been waited on hand and foot and didn’t expect it but it was surprisingly relaxing and pleasant experience. In the All inclusive you could also come away with a lot of new skills to boot. You would never be bored here. In 7 days you could take part in/learn Archery (with Dido, another excellent entertainment team member) and enjoy a light hearted team fun activity) , Boules, Horse Riding on the beach, Tennis, play Darts (really good fun and fun team game) or do Yoga al fresco (my favourite, as I have never had a Yoga lesson outdoors and in the sunshine and always wanted to). There is also water aerobics with Billy (another great entertainment team member) in the indoor pool, which was really great and as I don’t swim it was a good way of having fun in the water and a good splash about, nice and gentle too. We also got a beginners Arabic Language lesson from Steve, one of the brilliant entertainment team members and could have gone further with the lessons had we had more time. You can also get a free massage and have an Italian, Tunisian or Thai meal at the A La Carte restaurant which is really nice for couples and families as its served over time by course (4 courses) and gives you time to relax and chat. You also get drinks with the meal. You could do activities all day there were lots more than i have mentioned. We haven’t got children but there was plenty for them to do too. All the activities and entertainment are included and free and you literally do not pay any extra for anything.
So to the entertainment, the team were brilliant. As well as being excellent dancers, singers and entertainers they made all guests feel like part of a big family. Everyone was treated like a friend and this meant that guests were all so happy and relaxed in fact at the end of the holiday I felt more relaxed than Ive ever felt on any holiday I’ve been on. As well as leading all the activities they entertained day and night, everything from comedy shows, dancing, a great Tunisian night with traditional dance (and you could join in too with the dancing), and a Grease show. Also in the day time the staff would come over and chat and sometimes dressed up in costumes and as funny characters (drag costume etc) which was really funny and gave us a good giggle. Lots and lots of interaction with the staff if this is something you enjoy. All the team were excellent and lovely people and the guests all agreed on this. There is also a Disco on from 11pm to 2am every night which is great if you don’t want to go out. Again, drinks are on tap at the disco bar right through and the DJ is excellent.
I really liked the beach restaurant as i love sitting and eating in the sun and with such lovely views of the beach and surrounding Hammamet over the water. Again, all waiting on staff and bar and restaurant staff are so friendly and pleasant and funny, its a real pleasure being served by them. The standards are very high. The food is delicious and lots of choice. I’m a vegetarian and had no problem finding something delicious to eat and also got to try so many new foods which i loved. There was fresh orange at breakfast too, squeezed fresh from the oranges in front of you by Bilel the waiter. Lots of meats, fish, vegetarian dishes, egg dishes, pates, canapés, salads, hot meals, desserts, fresh fruit, yogurt, bread, rice, chips, casseroles, pancakes, crepes, burgers, pizzas, . Meals were buffet and you just helped yourself and could go back as many times as you liked to top up or try something different. Very good buffet breakfast with fried food, and cereals, yogurts and even cakes and deserts, very unusual but lovely such as choc pudding with choc sauce! All cooked in the Tunisian way.
Drinks too were very nice, fruity cocktails, fruity milkshakes, frappes, cappuccinos and different coffees, hot c hocolate, tea, coke and fizzy drinks, bottled water, sparkling wine (brilliant, never had this before on any holiday and especially not on tap!), red, white and rose wines, lager, to name but a few. You could have any drink at any time. No creamy drinks such as Baileys or any copies unfortunately for me. There was only one 24 hour bar but as we never stayed up that late we never tried it but you could get snacks there too apparently. Great if you like late nights/early mornings and want to make the most of the all inclusive, socialise with friends and other guests.
At the beach you can relax, eat snacks, drink, and watch the camels going past, horse riders, people selling all sorts of gifts (they all walk up and down at the front of the beach and you can go over and ask them if you want to buy something. They don’t walk around people on the beach hassling you, (which is great). Also there are watersports but these are not included in the hotel package and a Pirate Boat Trip which we never did due to not having enough time but people we talked to thought it was excellent with entertainment, swim stops, a meal and drinks included for about 35 dinars £16. There is a self service area with soft drinks and beer there too so you can relax without moving too far to find a refreshment. Sunbeds are included in the all in too.
The surrounding gardens with lovely flowers, jasmine and orange trees also are a real pleasure to look at.
The outdoor swimming pool and bar area are fun to sit in during the day.
All in all a brilliant hotel. Would definitely go back there again.

Room Tip: Deluxe Rooms are fab. Cannot beat the lovely decor and you get a little lounge area near to the bal...

We had decided on tunisia and went to the travel agent intent on going to Port El Kantoui, the travel agent then told us he could get us a better deal at a better hotel. We had a look in the brochure and thought, yeah why not. I am so glad now that the travel agent made this suggestion as from the moment we arrived at Enfidha we were glad we came. On arriving at the hotel we were all greeted with refreshments etc then the porter carried our luggage to the room. The room was big enough with a lovely bathroom, we overlooked the tennis courts which was a bit disappointing but soon enough we realised we were not going to spend very long in the room at all! We then went down stairs to the pool area to get something to eat and thats when the holiday really started- we were greeted by waiters Lofti and Salim and the animation team who introduced themselves. They were all so friendly and didnt forget our names the whole holiday. The animation team kept everyone entertained from the small kids to the older adults- no one one ever left out and if you didnt want to get involved that was ok too. There was a variety of activities every day and evening . I could go on and on but ill stick to the facts. I would recommend this hotel to everyone- there is so much included and so much to do even when the weather isnt great. From dawn till dusk there is always someone there waiting to fill up your glass or get you a mattress for your sun lounger . The animation team did a fantastic job and really make this hotel as well as making your holiday.
We will definitely return later in the year when the pool is a bit warm..lol!
