We were on the first flight from London Gatwick to Tunisia since the lifting of the UK government's ban on travel to Tunisia. The welcome we got from the staff was exceptional and they seemed genuinely delighted that the British were returning. During the week that we were there the Brits must have made up about 90% of the guests, so they must have endured very lean times during the past couple of years.
We had a sea view room which was clean, comfortable and quiet.
Food and drinks were generally of a good standard, except for the Oriental 'speciality' restuarant which was appallingly bad.
Entertainment in the evenings let the hotel down terribly. Other hotels we've stayed at in Tunisia have had visiting artistes supplying the evening entertainment (singers, magicians, snake charmers etc.) This hotel relies solely on its own animation team and their skills were sadly lacking.
Apart from those couple of gripes, the hotel is good and I would stay again.More
