Great breakfast buffet. You might have to get up to get your second and third cup of coffee when it is busy but a nice slection foods. Nice clean rooms and easy access from the patio in our room right into the pool and swim over to the bar. The bar will also deliver to you when in a group. Great Service and friendly staff.

Although the lobby and pool area looks beautiful and inviting the actual rooms at the Burasari are quite basic, small and noisy. The corridors and rooms felt more like a cheap motel than "luxury boutique".

I have also never seen so many cockroaches at any hotel (of this supposed standard) in Phuket. Both days at breakfast there were roaches visiting my table, in the toilets at the pool and I saw one in the spa.

The housekeeping was also sloppy, the drawers of the cupboard in the room were still full of rubbish (plastic packs from tacky items bought by the previous occupants at the markets) and even after telling reception and asking for it to be cleaned it was still not done. There was also a lot of hair in the bed sheets and bathroom, dirty, sticky TV remote and re-used toiletries bottles.

The spa is also quite average. Like the hotel, it all looks very nice but there’s no substance - the treatments are not very good, the ‘relaxing’ steam room is noisy and all you can hear are motorbikes out on the street. And of course sharing the spa with cockroaches does not really add to the experience.

Also the pool areas have very limited space and very few loungers. On Sunday morning about 3 loungers were unavailable because the staff were chopping off bits of a tree by the pool in the usual Thai manner with a total disregard for safety. Quite apart from the irritation of the noise it seemed too dangerous to stay in the area!

Room Tip: Ask for one in the renovated wing and as far back from the road as possible.

My wife and i spent a week at Burasari in january and found it to be a very pleasant and comfortable place to stay.It was our first visit to Thailand so of course we had nothing to compare it to but complaints were limited.Buffet breakfast was adequate catering for both european and asian clients and good variety of hot and cold dishes, eggs cooked to order and so on.Resort itself is large but also cosy at the same time, staff friendly including one baggage handler who i'm sure wins employee of the month every month his english is limited but he tries hard.We stayed in a premier pool access room and thats where the complaints lie, room is quite small and cramped the king size bed virtualy takes up the whole room, the bathroom is pokey shower in the bathtub and the hand held shower held kept falling out of its bracket once striking me on the arm, even when in its bracket it was only suitable for a jockey at best and being 180cm it was an uncomfortable affair. The room also had a damp odour when the air condition was running.I recommend the elite pool access, large room and bathroom and overall much more comfortable,so spend a bit extra and you won't be disappointed.Resort is close to Patong beach and the madness of the shopping, and everything that is Phuket and a stay is recommended, but don't forget premier is premier, elite is elite.Happy Holidays

Room Tip: Elite rooms the go

We stayed 6 nights in a Premier Elite room, overlooking the swimming pool. The room was located in the rear of the Hotel on what appears to be the older buildings. The bedroom was spacious, the bathroom was small and my only complaint was that the ceilings are lower than normal which made the room feel much smaller than it really was.

The complimentary bar which includes several soda cans and a beer was really nice to have. They stocked it up every day. The breakfast bar is huge and well sorted.

The hotel is on the southern part of Patong, 3 minutes away from the beach and about 10 minutes away from the 'wild' Bang-la road and a short walk to the Jungceylon Mall. Restaurants are minutes away...Once inside, any road noise is hard to hear. It's like being in your own private oasis.

The mosquitoes are a problem around the swimming pool. Just make sure that you do not fall asleep . The decor, ambiance and the lay out of the pools and gardens make it inviting to spend some time.

I would recommend that you splurge and upgrade to a better room. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. I am happy that I found it through Tripadvisor.

This resort is beautiful in terms of the ambiance, decor, pool and gardens. You really feel like you are in a tropical oasis. We stayed in a pool villa which was lovely, the room certainly had wow factor with the mirrored tiles in the bathroom (which may sound tacky but it actually wasn't... they managed to pull off the hollywood look/feel quite tastefully and worked it into the decor, which was traditional but with modern influence pretty well)... the mozzies were a bit of an issue because of all the water & gardens, but the staff were very quick to provide us with coils and spray and have professionals spray the rooms quite frequently and after that they weren't too bad. Our villa was closest to the road so was a bit noisy, but there is not much the resort can do about that, and the benefit is that you are close to everything. Breakfast was great, staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean, overall great value for money. If you need to access the internet though, bring your own device/laptop as they don't actually have computers for guests to use.

Room Tip: Ask for one back from the road a bit
