Great location by the river, about midway along the tourist strip. Large room, overlooking a pond with fish. Great restaurent , with setting along the river, very peaceful. The grounds and resort kept lovely and clean. Very helpful staff organising car and driver, and information about places to go.

This is a very nice destination. The staff is uniformly friendly and professional. The check in went quickly and uneventfully.
The room was spacious and clean. But there was no chair or table.
The TV ,despite intervention by an employee ,was a mystery during our stay as was the safe which was locked. There were no paintings or decorations on the walls. Condiments such as tea were not replaced on a daily basis nor were bathroom items.
Yet despite these lapses we enjoyed our stay
There was a nice outside sitting area overlooking a pond with fish that feed on food tossed in.
The restaurant served very decent food and the staff were attentive without being intrusive.
Breakfast was included but was limited each day to a choice of eggs, toast, salad , meats and juice and coffee . Some variety would have been nice. This might be explained by the low season coupled with the Covid crisis.

The restaurant is located directly on the river with a view of the nearby famous bridge.
There also was a decent sized pool but the lounges were somewhat worn out and should be replaced.

The hotel is located in the heart of town and close to main road.

All in all despite these minor complaints we enjoyed our stay and would return.

Great location for the hotel. About 1.5 km to the railway station and the River Kwai bridge plus a number of restaurants. The property is well planned with the restaurant on the river front. There are one set of rooms around a 'lagoon' which is the one we took and was lovely. The room was large and looked out onto this lagoon. One could sit out there and read a book while the kids fed the fishes. Room was nicely furnished and comfortable beds. wifi/mini fridge etc all fine. I wished they had an intercom system which have helped. The hotel also helps in arranging tours around the area. The restaurant was great for lunch or dinner but no very encouraging on the breakfast part. Staff are helpful and friendly. Would love to come back there and good for kids.

We are incredibly satisfied with this hotel. A clean, friendly and very well managed hotel in a great location close enough to walk to the famous bridge, dining, etc. We had the Deluxe River View room, with our own patio right on the river. A clean, spacious room with everything we needed. The staff were friendly and approachable. The restaurant is absolutely amazing. Typically we don't eat at the hotel except for breakfast if it is included. This one was, and it was excellent. For dinner we prefer to wander and find local street food or restaurants. But the food at Good Times is some of the best food we have had - and for a super reasonable price. We ended up eating there 3 nights. The servers were top notch and when we asked for 'Thai style' spicy (not white person that THINKS they like it spicy) they provided it. Outstanding.

We were able to walk to the bridge, to 7-Eleven (cheap beer!), museums and down the street of bars and restaurants. We didn't need transportation to do any of the typical touristy things in the area. My one concern - if the area was running 100% with tourism - might be the noise from all of the river traffic. But the pool area is secluded from it and we likely only noticed because we were right on the river in our room and we spent some time at the hotel during the day when most others were out touristing. Still it was minor and not enough to detract from the 5 star rating.

What a lovely stay. Great staff, lovely food and a beautiful setting. Would love to return. Can walk to bars and the bridge. Not far from cemetery and war museum. We had a hire car and got about easily.
