We had a great day with Tik and two other travellers. We first visited a market, Tik provided lots of information and let us try some typical Thai food. She even helped us to order some ingredients in Thai by ourself. After the market, we went to her home to prepare and cook the food. We had a lot of fun. We also collected some ingredients in her garden. After our lunch, Tik took us to the white temple and tea plantation, which was a nice and unexpected extension of the day. Afterwards, we received all recipes and photo's of the day by email.

We especially like the fact that the group size was small (only 4) and Tik was a great guide. We would truely recommend to spend your day with Tik!

The whole day was so fun and Tik is an absolute character! We had so much fun with her!! I would recommend this cooking class to anyone. You get to go to the market, pick herbs from Tik's garden, and cook in her kitchen! She also showed us around town a bit. Best day ever!!

Where do I begin?? Tik, you are truely one of a kind pocket rocket. From the very first moment of being picked up at our hostel at 9am right through to dropping us off at at 6pm we couldn’t wipe the smiles off our faces. We decided on our dishes ( spicy shrimp salad, pad Thai and Thai green curry) then went to the market to buy a few ingredients for our dishes. We went back to her house where we wandered through her garden to find the remaining ingredients. We spoke to Martin (Tiks husband) who was quite a funny character and full of knowledge about nature. Tik went through everything step by step and once finished we sat down and filled our tummies. Tik then took us for a little ride around her part of town before heading to the Singha Park for some photos. This was the highlight of our stay in Chiang Rai and would recommend this experience to anyone. To spend the day with someone who is so passionate about Thai Food and Thai culture is amazing.
(We arrived back to our hostel with a bag of ginger, bananas, papaya and kumquats).

Tik is a very very good tour guide. She share many stories about food in the market. We have learned a lot about thai cultue. She taught us how to cook traditional thai food and all of the ingredients are organic. The food are tasty. We pick vegetables from her beautiful garden. We love her relaxing house very much which is a very peaceful and enjoyable place. After cooking, Tik pick us to Singha Park. I love this natural park. Many beautiful view in the park. Tik help us to take a lot of nice pictue. Tik also pick us to the white temple, a wonderful place in Chiangrai. I like Tik because she is very nice and energetic. She also gave us lot of travel information i want. This trip is the most enjoyable moments for us during these day in Chiangrai. I really recommended this trip to the others. It is very unforgettable for us. Thanks Tik.

We spent a whole day with Miss Tik and went together to the market. She gave us some translations Thaï/English so we could directly ask for prices, buy food and get this way in touch with the locals, which was nice and funny.

Then we all went to Miss Tik home in her car and on the way she explained several interesting things about Thaïland, showed us different places in the villages to explain daily life and compared living in Bangkok city and living in Chiang Rai region, both experiences she made herself.

We took some fruit, vegetable and herbs directly in her beautiful garden and then she thaught us how to cook three lavish meals. Miss Tik likes sharing time with people and she will be happy to answer all your questions about recipes (she knows to cook everything even Chinese food) and about Thaïland. She is a funny, energetic and very interesting person, so cooking was a nice thing to do, but getting to know her was even better. We wish her all the best of luck and we send her our best wishes
