How about let's think about this...we paid for the view and the dinner comes for free. Good deal, right?
The restaurant is part of Kaohusing's Splendor Hotel, the most expensive one in Kaohusing. It is right next to Kaohsiung's "darling harbor" (sorry, I made up the name. It is actually called Hsiao Kang, or Petit Harbor). You can have a full view of the harbor and the river. It is a view you can die for, especially in an evening with clear sky.
The food is actually pretty good, too. If you are a big fan of American Style Teppanyaki, you got a super deal - tripple dipped - the food you love, the view you fall in love with and all at a very affordable price. I cannot recall the exact price for each person but I think I paid a bill for 15 with $600-ish. You order your entry, all others come for free (except alcohol).
The service - you pay a Japanese service at a Thai price.
