I visited Moyenne as part of a snorkeling trip to Sainte Anne Marine National Park. We went ashore and hiked around the island. The hiking tail has wonderful beach and island views. We saw incredible flora and fauna, including giant tortoises wandering freely everywhere. The history of owners is fascinating!

Moyenne island is located a boat ride away from Mahe which takes around half an hour. There is an entry fees to enter the island. It is said that this island has a secret hidden treasure. It's a nice walk along the island with some spots worth clicking superb pictures. This island houses giant tortoise which are a treat to watch. And there are a number of them ranging from some small to huge ones. A must visit place if you are staying in Mahe for a few days. The tortoises and damn amazing.

We arranged a reef safari though our hotel with Masons. We went on a catamaran and then changed to a boat with a submerged glass bottom which was amazing. Fantastic lunch back on board the catamaran and then on to Moyeene Island. Lots of giant tortoises (which love their necks stroked) fruit bats in the trees and beautiful birds. There is a 45 minute walk around the island, but we only made it as far as the pirates graves, where Brendon Grimshaw is also buried. This is one of the best trips we have ever done. Lots to see and everyone was so friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
