The place is dirty, 'with WALL PEELING IN THE ROOM!
Much smaller than advertised, missing items in the room compared to the advertised pictures (no jacuzzi, not even one chair, no shelf or closet, no soap, and missing toilet paper). The worst thing is that the owner is rude, doesn't give any service, doesn't answer the phone, and when he is present, he doesn't speak with the client, claims that he doesn't know English, even when we have someone to speak Hebrew, he answered very rudely.
Not recommended at all!!!

Room tip: Not even think to come there, even if they offer it for free

Yes, the location is great, but extremely noisy and you must lug your luggage a long way to get there. Yes, the rooms are historic and made of basalt, but the WiFi doesn’t penetrate, so you’ll need to go to the lobby for videos or Facebook. Yes, the Staff are friendly, but they are not electricians or plumbers or masons, which is what you’ll really need. Yes, the view from the balconies are spectacular if you don’t mind the ants crawling up your legs. And yes, the breakfast is sumptuous but hard to see with the morning sun glaring in your eyes. Finally, if you’re a couple, demand an extra blanket when you check it because the one provided isn’t large enough for two.

Great location, right near the boardwalk and the Sea of Galilee. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and nice for the price. The breakfast was good and filling and the coffee excellent. A short walk to the bus station. If you are budget conscious this small hotel is an excellent choice.

Hotel building itself is hundreds of years old. It’s like living in a cave as it has stone walls, with modern electricity and plumbing.
Easy check in and out. Rooms are very clean. Hotel is at one end of the promenade, right on the water.
Sadly, the promenade itself is falling into disrepair, is dirty and tired. The powers that be would learn a lot from the people who rejuvenated the Tel Aviv promenade.
Having said that, I would recommend staying at this hotel, eating on the water and touring the many historical sites in the area.
Breakfast is outstanding. Wow.
It’s a perfect stepping-off point for a tour of the north.

A little disappointed with the hotel to be honest. It's definitely not as 'luxurious' as advertised - we booked a balcony suite which was actually just one mid-sized room with a tiny bathroom but with a large jacuzzi bath in the room (which takes up too much space). The balcony is nice enough with a view of the sea although we were on one side.

The air con was very noisy - it took us until about 5am to work out how to stop the 'swing' which ticked each time. It was otherwise too hot to not have the air con running (as we tried switching it off to get some peace). The TV is also not very straightforward to get working.

Our overall issue is that Tiberias is quite run down, particularly on the sea front which was quite disappointing. It didn't help that our sat nav suggested we park up way before we should have done so we had to walk back and forth through these amusement arcade places to try and find the hotel. You can park in the neighbouring hotel car park, about a 200 meter walk away.

The guy who was on the front desk was very accommodating and helpful.

Breakfast is very plentiful - too much really but nice to have some options. Mix of cheeses, yoghurt, bread, hard boiled eggs etc. And the usual pot of hot water to make instant coffee.

The room felt quite run down and while not dirty, it did need some maintenance. It's definitely on the shabby side of shabby chic.

The hotel website makes you think it has beach access - which it doesn't. You have to walk back up the hill, past the bus stop and then down a closed off road to get to the shingle beach.

We felt overall it wasn't quite as advertised and were a little disappointed but made the best of it with a nice drink at the Scots hotel bar. It's a shame as it could be such a nice resort with the fabulous views over the Sea of Galilee but the area really needs some investment.
