We found Akkotel to be the perfect place to conveniently and comfortably experience old Akko.

It is at the edge of the old city (literally — it is built into the old city wall from which Napoleon’s invasion was successfully repelled), so it’s an easy walk to the entire old city. At the same time, because it’s at the edge, it is easy to drive in and out, and to park, and to walk a few steps before plunging into crowded market alleyways.

The rooms are very nice. They are not super-modern, but that is the trade-off for stone walls that provide the feel of a timeless place.

The hotel staff is extremely helpful and friendly.

The breakfast is fine, but if you are staying more than one morning, you might for variety’s sake want to want to try something else the second day.

I spent one night in this charming hotel in old city of Acre, very clean, host very accomodating, fluent English, parking breakfast included, large room with sleep loft. I felt like it could be 100 years ago. Highly reccomend

This hotel is built literally in the city walls of Akko. Location is thus great - you can walk anywhere in the city. The rooms are comfortable and make you feel like home. But above all the staff is super friendly. We didn’t make it for breakfast and although we were late they offered us food and coffee. I can only recommend this hotel!

We spent two nights here. The location is unbeatable for visiting the city and the staff at Reception are universally charming and helpful! Plentiful and tasty breakfast.
My only quibble is that the cleanliness of the bathroom. Parts were rather dusty, and the toilet holder was actually greasy — odd. Perhaps this was a fluke?

We are repeat visitors at Akkotel, a boutique hotel built in (literally) the walls of the old city of Akko.
Nice rooms, descent breakfast, excellent hospitality - make you feel at home. Walking distance from the market and other Old City attractions.
While you are there, say hello to Nabil.
