Wonderful, peaceful, in every sense of the word and matched with dinner at Uri Buri, it was the highlight of our 3 week holiday. Akko is a historic gem and one of the most unique places on earth. This hotel has it's own history, owned by the Efendi family at one point, it was an Ottoman palace and has been beautifully restored and furnished, it truly feels palatial again. The rooftop bar is a fabulous place to end a day of sightseeing, enjoying the sunset and a different view of the historic walled city below.

On a recommendation from Israeli friends, we booked into the Efendi for two nights on our trip to the north of Israel. We are so glad we did.
We had stayed in the King David in Jerusalem and the wonderful Beresheet hotel at Mitzpe Ramon, but the best was yet to come. (yes, it was hard to find.)
This hotel will remain in our memory, when larger, slicker hotel will not.
The position was wonderful, the rooms exquisite, and the roof top bar, wow!
The staff were very helpful without being intrusive.
That night we went to the restaurant owned by this hotel, called the Uri Buri, my wife and I remarked that it has been a long time since we have left a restaurant with the thought that we have last felt overwhelmed by the standard of their food.
Having been in Japan in March, I didn't think that sashimi could be approved.
But mine arrived with wasabi sorbet, absolutely brilliant.
The lady sitting opposite us asked if she could have the sorbet for dessert.
Our time at this establishment was memorable.

Room Tip: only about 6 rooms in hotel,

We have stayed just for one night, but one to remember
We took the love story deal that includes a night (bed and breakfast) as well as a Massage for both of us and a dinner in a near by restaurant (Uri Buri)
When you arrive at the hotel you are going to a different place from the outside
first they give you a tour in the hotel, an historic building that was restored as it was few hundred years back.
the rooms are comfortable, we had a slight problem with the TV, but didn't really need it.
Breakfast is served on a Night's table, very good breakfast.
the Massage was a real treat.

Decoration, furniture perfectly fitting the character of the place.
Huge room with all expected comfort.
Excellent breakfast and very professional service, including at the spa.
Enjoy sunset on the roof with a glass of prosecco!

Room Tip: Go for sea view

This is an amazing hotel in the heart of the old city of Akko.
It is beautifully decorated and an amazing place to visit and enjoy.
The hotel is very close to all the attractions in the old city, it is walking distance from the city walls.
It belongs to the famous Uri Buri, that is well known for his most famous seafood restaurant in Akko ....Uri Buri.
