This hotel is sure huge, but the restaurant is too small for it. If there are many agendas in this hotel and all of them have breakfast at the same place in one place so it would be too crowded and make the other people staying there so uncomfortable.

We needed an overnight between hiking near Banyuwangi and flying back home, so chose this hotel; it's pretty close (walking distance, maybe 10 mins) to the train station and wasn't too expensive. In the event, the room was large, with a view all the way to the harbor, and although we would be leaving prior to the start of breakfast hours, one of the ladies at the front desk noted that since it was Ramadan, breakfast would open early - while they normally take a break between serving those observing Ramadan, and the formal breakfast hours, we had no problem getting food, and really appreciated her thoughtfulness in suggesting that to us

Hotel with standards well below expectation especially for the calibre of this hotel. Room old and smelly. The towels, bathrobes and bed sheets were worn out, smelling of chemical and humidity... Unfortunately even the service was bad... slow and careless, from reception to housekeeping, from the waiters to the senior management when we complained. the Royal lounge was a terrible experience: totally abandoned! Same, poor food everyday, ugly atmosphere, depressing and sad. The bar at ground level worse then a joke! The worse possible you can find in Surabaya!!! They should close this hotel down and re start everything from the ground up. The worse hotel we ever stayed in Indonesia. Not recommended.
