“Another colonial era treasure”
Review of Cirebon Town Hall

Cirebon Town Hall
Reviewed 13 September 2014

The town hall is on the main street through the middle of town near the train station - meaning you can miss it if you are walking by or are in a taxi/tuk tuk. Its probably not open to the general public though but you can take pictures of it from the front gates.

It's true, the first time when you see this building you will never imagine that it was built by uniqueness mix of culture. You'll find modernity, old fashoned of local architecture, far east and middle east construction

That is what it should be named. The whole building painted white colour,of course not to mention this is the local government office. Not to big at size, but it represents past, now, and future characteristics

The building is well maintained and used as the official site of Cirebon's major. It is suggested to shoot pictures right in the front of the building at night or early in the morning.....but as far as I know, there is no significant tourism object here, once I asked permission to shoo pictures in the front yard, and that's all I could do.

It is not very common to go, but if you like history, the Cirebon Town Hall became a hiding place in the Republican era/ Colonialism era. It has an oval room too.
