After a short walk from the carpark past small ricefields & a little restaurant, we arrived at this tropical Paradise. There were so many things we liked about the character of the Villa with its century old, hand carved centre ceiling, and the coloured glass feature windows. (Javanese style apparently.) We spent many relaxing hours on the private front porch adjacent to the pool reading etc and many hours in the clear, blue pool. Gorgeous. We like our morning coffee and fortunately we soon discovered several nearby shops serving really good coffee. Women were harvesting rice whilst we were there. Such hard work but many of the workers gave us a wave & a smile. Everyone is happy. The local people riding their motor bikes carried some amazing loads and we were constantly amazed to see how much "stuff" they managed to pile onto a scooter.
The Balinese people seem to lift your spirits and Made, who cooked our breakfast & looked after the Villa, was one of those delightful Balinese. We were sad to leave this lovely Paradise but we will certainly return to this gorgeous Villa.

A beautiful villa in prime location in Penestanan - a village 20 mins walk from Ubud centre... All mod cons but still retains an authentic traditional feel... Pool was glorious... 2 bedrooms both with ensuite a real bonus... Steve and Made both fantastic
