We stopped by La Ramona for an early dinner. Its a bit hard to find, but you can find it just across from Locavore. The menu is pretty interesting, some tapas, medium sized dishes, and some mains. We ordered parmesan truffle fries, sun-dried tomato bruschetta, and navajo fry bread. Everything had a ton of flavor, and that was kind of the issue. Too many flavors to even appreciate any of the dishes. We thought if they had cut down on the ingredients, they would have had some stellar dishes, but it wasn't our speed the way it was, so we left after the appetizers.

If you have had enough of nasi goreng and are looking for a highly original, creative and delicious fusion of Asian and European cuisines, visit Laramona.
The entrance is narrow, so it is easy to miss. Inside is small, a funky assembly of polished concrete floor, painted walls with local art, and a high table by the bar for those only drinking composed of a steel barrel with a glass top. For diners there are conventional table and chairs. The menu is great.
Tapas included parmesan matchstick fries with truffle, roast garlic bulbs, seaweed salad and many more. Lighter dishes included varieties of bruschetta, a sour mango and squid salad, and a risotto.
We dined on spiced pork belly in a tempura non taco shell, with grilled green apple, butter lettuce, wakame and shoyu demi glaze. Also offered were fillet mignon steak, octopus, lamb kebabs and a platter that started hummus and baba ganoush with a list of further offerings too long to detail here.
The ingredients were fresh, of excellent quality and perfectly cooked.
The staff are informal, but friendly and efficient.
Also offered are a variety of excellent and unusual house cocktails. And prices are reasonable. You just have to try this restaurant.

My husband and I decided to visit this little restaurant based on TripAdvisor reviews and we are so glad that we did. We shared the platter which was absolutely delicious especially with the special fried bread. We also shared the Parmesan Truffle fries which were divine! The cocktails are good. The service is very good. We will definitely visit again.

I agree with all the great reviews about food and awesome cocktails, so I won't pile on with more of the same. However, it was a challenge to find the entrance, so I thought it would be helpful to post that it is almost directly across the street from Locavore. Enjoy!

Wow, what a hidden gem. Myself and my girlfriend were staying around the corner from this place, and must have passed it at least 6 times without knowing it was there, as it doesn't open up onto the roadside like a lot of restaurants in the area. We looked on TripAdvisor for a place to eat on our last night and decided on this one due to the good reviews.

Even on the inside the place is unassuming, with basic decor. We were even the only people in the restaurant for a while.
Upon arriving the staff were incredibly friendly, and my god the food! The food was delicious, by far the nicest meal we had in Ubud. We had lamb kebab and squid in a red curry sauce. Yum! Even the deserts were beautiful (they do a desert platter so you can try them all!)

Would highly recommend for the friendly staff and amazing food!

Thank Conal H
