The Mansion Resort Hotel & Spa grounds are beautiful. You can't even imagine what is there on the narrow road until the car turns onto the grounds. A beautiful main building, three pools, and 150+ rooms on the property which is covered in antiques and Balinese art. This property is a really really stunning place.

The staff was kind and helpful. The food was good for all meals with a nice mix of Western food on the menu which we were thankful for.

Outdoor pool areas were nice and relaxing and so necessary in the heat.

We stayed in a family suite which was pretty basic, but a good size for three people. The bathroom did not have a stand-up shower. I don't think this is the case for all rooms at the hotel, but for the family room it only had a tub with the hand-held shower nozzle and I wish there was a separate stand-up shower.

What makes this hotel great are the grounds and space outside the rooms. Our room was good for sleeping and comfortable. We ran into an issue for 2 of the 5 nights we were there with the loudest frog we've ever heard in our lives deciding that it wanted to talk all night long. It sounded like a duck. The hotel staff was really kind in trying to help get the frog to stop which was nice. Not much else they could have done as being in Ubud, you are in the jungle and surrounded by nature no matter where you stay. Don't fault the hotel at all for this, but boy were we glad when it stopped making noise so we could sleep.

Location is good, just a 10 minute drive outside of the Ubud city center. Hotel offers a shuttle to and from every two hours. Also nearby all other Ubud sites with a driver.

Would recommend this both as a good base of operations as well as a place to enjoy some relaxing time on the hotel's campus.

My wife and I were impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, who did everything in their power to accommodate us and provide us with a unique experience for our first trip to Bali. Not only did they shuttle us back and forth between the airport and to local attractions such as Tegallalang Rice Terrace and Tegenungan Waterfall (the drivers were always earlier and extremely knowledgeable about the local villages and tourist sites), they also provided my wife with a room close to the lobby after learning that her leg was injured. Our room was quite spacious, with enough room for her to move around comfortably; our only wish was that the vanity area had lights closer to the mirror rather than so high up the ceiling, though this wasn't an annoyance so much as a personal preference.

My wife and I enjoyed the restaurant (Indochine), where we ate both breakfast (the omelettes were, in particular, delicious) and dinner (we recommend the Beef Stew and the Cajun Pasta) almost every day during our stay; the prices are fair and the food is flavorful and well-prepared. The grounds of the hotel are spectacular and well-kept, with several pools and areas to relax and enjoy a quiet drink away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud City. We both agree that the hotel is suitable for both couples and families, as there is a little something for everyone to do after sightseeing around Ubud; the hotel provides a shuttle service to Ubud city center (a bit far but still easily accessible), as well as personal taxis at 500,000 Rupiah for every 4 hours.

More than anything, what impressed us the most was the fact that the staff were always on hand to help, always working to make our stay the best it could be, and were very talkative and attentive to our needs. We can't recommend this hotel more!

Hotel and Room/Suite:
Wonderful and well maintained property. There is wide variety of rooms/suites available. Do crosscheck your hotel booking site with their website rooms.

Service:
Great. Helping and prompt service.

Food:
Limited options for lunch and Dinner.
Breakfast is good - fruits, live egg counter, juices, bread, rice, noodles, pan cakes, etc.

Location:
Note this property is slightly away from centre of town. Shuttles are available ~ every two hours.

Tip:
Spa and transport are slightly overpriced in hotel. Book elsewhere.

Gardens are tropical, people are super kind and service oriented. Price, 2 nights, incl breakfast 115€. Room had what it needed and was ok, clean and had a few cool details to realize you are now in a tropical Muskito environment. Style, very Indonesian, art, a lot. My mind was just processing what it was seeing... a lot of color, a lot of styles, a lot of paintings. Entrance is impressive, and I would just remove 50% to bring it back to the essence - a fairy tale house...
