Firstly, I'm a retired 5 star hotel general manager (which I don't generally reveal) and stayed with adult family members occupying three bedrooms. As a 25 year veteran hotelierI guess I can speak from experience. Villa Sancita from the moment you arrive feels like private butler service with amazing staff: Putu, Wayan, Bagus and Santi - a big thank you to you all. Breakfast was bountiful and superb. The open plan feel of the Villa makes the theatre setting overlooking rice fields even more enjoyable and complemented at night by the frog and gecko orchestra. You seamlessly feel part of the environment and it is very peaceful. Rooms are well appointed and the design is very innovative and refreshing. The pool is deep and infinity style overlooking the natural rice paddy-field habitat. The Villa is only a 3km taxi ride to the downtown restaurants and shopping of Ubud. Highly recommended. Room Tip: All the accommodation is of a very high standard

We have stayed in villa Sancita for three days and what a wonderful start of our Bali holiday it was. A beautiful view on the rice fields and their ducks. Fireflies at night.
And the villa itself is amazing (like you can see on the pictures).
The staff was very professional and friendly and we especially recommend to have diner in the villa. The breakfast and dinners were excellent.

Thank you so much for the lovely review! We are glad your family enjoyed the open design of the house and could really feel the beauty of the nature around it. Thank you, also, for complimenting the delicious meals prepared by the staff. That is a real highlight of our villa. We hope you come stay with us again soon.

We stayed for four nights in December '14. The villa is a true oasis at the end of a busy day out.mSanti and her staff cannot do enough for you. They helped out wit a laundry service, money exchange , groceries and cooking.the breakfast was amazing . We loved the natural feel of this villa , the spaciousness and the view over the pool and rice paddies.the rooms are well equipped, very clean and well maintained. The distance from town is a positive - inhe sense that you don't have the noise and traffics to deal with.

Room Tip: There is some construction on the neighbors plot of land .

What a charming villa! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, thanks to the wonderful staff at Villa Sancita. We were spoilt! Breakfast (prepared by Wayan) was delicious and dinner (prepared by Santi) was excellent. *We LOVE the banana pancake and the banana fritter with ice cream*

Love the pool as well. Very peaceful and relaxing. My dad liked to sit by the pool and looked out at the paddy field. =)

But, of course, there were bugs. And geckos. Huge geckos. I am a proper city girl and I must admit that I was quite horrified when I saw a gigantic lizard creeping on the wall. But after a while, I just got used to it. No bugs or lizards in the bedroom (thank goodness, or I would definitely call out for security to do something about them).

Oh, and we had a massage session at the villa. It was divine!

If there's one thing to fault, there's no bidet in the toilet. I know Westeners do not require a bidet, but Asians do. Something to consider, maybe?

My dad will be the first person to say that he will be back again for sure. =)

Thank you for the top notch review! I am glad to hear that you felt so "spoiled" by our wonderful staff -- that's our goal! I appreciate your suggestion about adding a bidet and will consider it. Meanwhile, thank you, again, for sharing your family's holiday with us. Please come back again soon.

It is a pleasure to review this villa as we cannot fault it! Firstly, thank you to Santi & the wonderful unassuming staff for the hospitality, friendly caring attention to detail and professional nature in which they went about their daily tasks to cater for our needs. As for the food....well, apart from the delicious breakfasts, we only ate out once during our stay. After long days sightseeing, it was fabulous to come home for a swim, a rest and then to savour the delicious and beautifully presented dinner that Santi and the team prepared for us!
Thank you also for providing very comfortable, large beds! A relaxing, good nights sleep for our tall bodies and bad backs.
The ambience overlooking the paddy fields, the decor, the pool, the tourist advice from Santi and the quick and efficient way that the villa is run all added to a memorable experience.
We had no problems with Mosquitos or security ( thank you also to the security staff) even though the villa is open plan.
I maybe should not have written a review at all and kept Villa Sancita a secret, but a place so good has to be shared.
Thank you so much!
