This was so much more than a bike tour. We were picked up from our hotel in an aircon van and taken to the beautiful country side. We made many interesting and fun stops along the way like coffee and tea tasting at a plantation and viewed the amazing Batur volcano. The cycling was fun and mostly downhill so kids enjoyed it a lot. Our tour guide shared so much about the Balinese people and culture and took us through local villages and rice fields which were amazing.

This a beautiful family business and they were very hospitable and fed us well throughout the day with plenty of water.
The highlight was the truly amazing Balinese lunch that was provided for us at their family home. We were welcomed into their home and fed like kings and queens with the most delicious and best home cooked food we’d experienced in Bali.

Thank you so much we will be back again. We highly recommend this tour.

Thank Sophie P

I did this cycling tour a few years ago and decided to take my family on it this time.

We were a party of six and there was one other couple on our tour. It was excellent from start to finish and the service was second to none. Being a family run tour you really felt like part of the family and that they really care about your enjoyment.
The pace was easy, the views were great and the home cooked meal at the end was superb!

We really enjoyed the coffee tasting, did not feel pressured at all to buy anything. The bikes were in good order and fit the boys who ranged from six foot two through six foot six. Plenty of water was provided and we stopped at good points of interest. The spiders were amazing!

Having lunch back at the family home was terrific. The food was top quality and we were definitely not left hungry!

We will book it again next time as they are happy to do an alternate route so we can explore somewhere new.

Had a wonderful day out on the cycling tour amongst the rice fields learning a lot about Balinese culture, history and daily life from the lively, knowledgable and very amusing Puttu :) The lunch afterwards was also the best food I ate in Bali! Thank you so much to you and your family for a very special experience.
I hope the business keeps growing and wish you all the best!

The bike tour was amazing! As per other reviews, Puttu Dana was a great guide and taught us about the Balinese culture and farming. However, the highlight was the lunch at Puttu’s family house. The food was incredible and the hospitality was astounding! For example, it was drizzling while we were getting food and Puttu’s family brought out umbrellas for us so that our food would not get spoiled. They also stood by the food while we were eating and physically made sure that no flies would get into the food. Overall, I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an authentic, unique experience.

We consider ourselves to be very lucky to have spent a day with Wayan and Made, two wonderful brothers who run Jegeg bike tours.

We were promptly picked up at our hotel in Ubud before driving to a local coffee and tea plantation. It was a wonderful stop where we had the opportunity to look at many local plants and flowers, especially those used in Indonesian cooking. Wayan explained all about the crops and coffee growing process. After walking around for a bit, we were set up at a picnic table with one of the members of the plantation. She was very helpful as she introduced us to the different teas and coffees that the plantation grew. We also had a lovely breakfast of fresh fruit and a banana pancake.

We then drove to the spot we would begin riding from. The riding was super easy as it was mostly downhill. We passed through villages and rice paddies, and past temples and shops. We stopped every so often so Wayan could explain about rice growing, or Hindu ceremonies and celebrations or ways of living in an Indonesian village. It was wonderful to learn so much from someone who was clearly passionate about his home.

The highlight of the trip was by far visiting Wayan and Made’s family compound. Their family all graciously welcomed us to their home. We were treated to an amazing homemade lunch of many tasty dishes. Being a vegan I was well catered for and the food was wonderful. Wayan explained how the compounds are structured and how the buildings within the compound are built. They have a beautiful home and we were very grateful to be able to see it.

After our lunch, we were driven back to our hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Jegeg tours. It was an outstanding day of learning, exploring and experiencing the non touristy side of Bali.
