Not only is the view fantastic , so are the staff and dishes ! We were staying at the Viceroy so did have breakfast there daily and dinner there a few times. They had such an incredible variety and stopped at nothing to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. The staff was so attentive. We are vegetarian and they made sure that we had a wide variety of items to choose from and made accommodations when needed. I did not hear a No for anything. We were truly sad to leave ! The staff deserved 10 thumbs up for their level of perfection!

We had an incredible experience eating here twice on our trip. The views are unbelievable and the service was outstanding. Couldn't have asked for a more relaxing dining experience.
The French toast for breakfast was phenomenal, we had it last time on our trip and have been dreaming about it ever since. It was unbelievably fluffy and delicious. The new manager Pasek was so sweet and attentive, he does a very nice job. We will definitely be returning again on our next trip to Bali.

After experiencing many different restaurants across Nusadua, Seminyak, and Ubud, we found CasCades, and had an amazing night, which we consider to be be best night we had in Bali! Stunning atmosphere, impeccable food, and staff that go above and beyond to provide incredible service to everybody. Accomodating to dietary requirements was a breeze for CasCades, and we were blown away by how well everything came together to produce a night to be remembered!!!

Cascades it set in the tranquil and beautiful grounds of the Viceroy Hotel Ubud. The restaurant is perched on the edge of the valley overlooking the palms and has a lovely relaxed atmosphere. This is fine dining Bay style and whilst it is not cheap, it is worth the experience.

We started with house made bread that was tasty. Gluten free was supplied for our coeliac companion. The chef came out and spoke to our friend to explain what was on the menu that she could eat. We thought this was exceptional service.

We though the miniature gado gado amuse bouche was fun. For main course my companions both had Barra and loved it. I had the Balinese duck that came with various accompaniments including sambals and a pot of bok choy. It was a great and flavoursome dish.

For dessert we shared the the orange and chocolate soufflé. Yum.

The wine list had some good choices. We enjoyed the Argentinian Chardonnay.

The wait staff, including the chatty Gung Nif, were friendly and helpful.

The 21% service charge added to the bill is just feels like a rip off after such a pleasant experience. It would be better if they just added this into the prices.

Overall though, we would recommend Cascades, particularly for lunch when you can see the view.
