My wife had the local dish Jejeruk which is a type of chicken curry. It came in half a coconut with different condiments and was really tasty, with just the right amount of spiciness. One of the better curries she has tasted. I went for the more mundane spaghetti marinara which i really enjoyed, Happy hour drinks gave me two small Bintangs for the price of one which was good.

Outstanding food at excellent prices. Staff are wonderful and we had a great time with them. Unfortunately only found it on the last day otherwise it would have been a daily experience. Need to get them to put the Bintang in a freezer for you. Not cold enough.

We had a wonderful meal! The Mahi Mahi was grilled perfectly, the salad and veggies were great! The "fallen angel" dessert which was a small warm brownie accompanied by vanilla ice cream was heavenly! AND we had a wonderful performance by a traditional Balinese Dancer.

Looking for lunch on a scorching hot afternoon we landed at the Paon seeking shade, food and a drink.
The restaurant is a nice tranquil break from the heat of the street and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We had an amazing Nasi Goreng and a decent Gado Gado, great spot to enjoy a decent meal under the shade.

The Paon is a nice restaurant with good food, especially the seafood and Asian cuisine really ok. But.... The waiting and waiting for service, a extra drink or even the bill. When i want to pay it means i want to leave and not sit there for another 15 to 20mins.
