Owner description: The Sanur Beach Promenade is lined with brightly painted outrigger boats along the water's edge, and good restaurants and cafes opposite. Treat yourself to a massage offered by one of the many masseuses with divans on the sand. If you're there in July, catch the Bali Kite Festival, a colorful international competition.

Beach was ok but unfortunately the world needs to stop dropping its rubbish in the ocean...... nice beach for walk along and paddle , sunrise is worth getting up for

After a negative experience at a western Bali beach we knew we needed to find another beach. After much research we decided on Sanur because we read it was more suited towards families. It did not disappoint. The beach is perfect. There is not much beach garbage and the sand is perfect for sand castles. When the tide started going out, our kids had the most fun with searching the ocean floor. We stayed for 5 hours and there were no complaints from the kids (and therefore the adults).

We were there in march and stayed in puri Santrian. The beach in front of it was clean, but water is murky and there was a lot of seaweed. No garbage was in the water.

sanur is not for our family. we arrived at our hotel and within an hour cancelled our booking and made plans to travel to the east. Sanur is definitely for the tourist crowd. lots of noise, shops and locals pushing to buy their products. the beach is not great and pretty dirty. if you want to shop and not do much else than sanur is great, but it’s not for us. there’s not much of the “real”Bali left, just seems to cater for the typical touristy crowd. Little if any Balinese culture left, but hey, you can get McDonalds, StarBucks and Donuts.
