We have followed the building of these in October and now it's finished. Very very nice place and helpful staff.
You can have dinner, but not so much to choose. There are really nice places to replace after using the big nice pool. The drinks are expensive- almost dubbel price as other places.
But they have happy hour from 18 pm. But take care: it's only some drinks to half price!

I just love this hotel in every part of it! Stylish rooms with huge bad, fresh flowers and even more useful things, than you may need. Breakfast, swimming pool, location - everything is just perfect. Becides, we were given a huge room of 55 m, altgough we had booked just 30! And that's for free! I heartly recommend this hotel, sure, you never regret!

overall experience was okay.

good points:
breakfast was nice
spacious and artsy room

towel and mat old and dirty

Again had a very nice stay! Friendly staff, nice rooms and great Spa. The infinity pool is Awesome. Note: I stayed in a studio on the 4th flour and in the evening and at night the bass-Music from Barts is well heard.

The Artotel is very very noisy !
Although the rooms are very nice and the breakfast is very good, there must be more to be a 4 star hotel !
1 The Artotel regulary closes each week hotel guests facilities, such as the roof top bar and swimming pool on the roof.
Then they sell/rent these facilities for weddings, conferences, parties etc. which also causes a lot of noise and inconvienieces till 22.00 hour.
If a hotel does NOT have any banqueting facilities then they should not close facilities who are paid by hotel guests and are for the use of hotel guests.
2 The swimmingpool on the roof top is too small and there are only 12-14 beds next to the pool.
The hotel has ca 60 rooms which means that there are about 120 hotel guests.
Supose that 35 hotel guests who wants to swim and lie next to the pool, then 26 guests cannot make use a bed beside the pool.
There are no facilities to lie in the shadow because there are no parasols near the pool.
3 The Artotel Beach Club is 35 minutes walk from the Artotel. (Or you have to take a taxi)
The General manager from the Artotel Beach club confirmed that the Artotel Beach Club and Artotel have different management and has nothing to do with each other.So no extra services are given too Artotel Guests who go for a swim there.
The Artotel Beach Club is very nice with a beautifull pool, restaurant and very good service.
4 The Artotel is located on the main street cross and not near the beach. (About 3 minutes walk)
They do not have any shuttle bus to go the The Artotel Beach Club.
5 The employees of the restaurant do their very best servicing the hotel guests. But they ask too quick if you are finished and then they want to take away your plate, glas, etc. This is sometimes annoying when you still have not finished your beakfast and stil are eating / drink.
Extra training for the employes would be advised.
6 You may expect from a 4 star hotel that reception employes should speak better english. Otherwise this may cause misunderstandings.
7 Check inn on arrival at the Artotel. Within less then 15 minutes the reception employe asked that if we could give a positive advise within 1 day on Tripadvisor for the Artotel, If we do so, then we receive a free cocktail. This is very very manipulating and very strange! (We have seen in the last 20 years we already come to Bali many 3-4-5 stars hotels, but non of them ever asked us to do so)
What is then their Tripadvisor rating worth!
