We went for both the tea and brunch and we loved both. We were very happy to travel from Kuta twice. The food was beautiful and the service was faultless. I love being indulged. Don't miss this

“Ersatz on Buffet”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 February 2011

Chef(s) at that cute place are taking too many short cuts (witch is not the case of the final bill, BTW). That night, lobsters turned out to be water prawns (?), foi gras was’nt available (!), Shrimp Tempura forgot something on its way from Japan and oysters (already opened and out of their water) were on thresholds oblivion.
A beautiful and tasty 3 cubic centimeters of lamb, nice wines by the glass and warm staff saved the kind of funny evening.

(Ersatz often implies that the substitution is of unsatisfactory or inferior quality ("not as good as the real thing").

“I LIKE THIS PLACE BETTER.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 December 2010

This is my second time to visit the hotel " St Regis Bali ". I tried this restaurant after read the review from other costumers about their dinner. I found it has truly luxurious food.
They have buffet with many selection of cold dishes, Sashimi, sushi, fresh shuck Oyster (SSLLHHRRUP), Cheese platter, Traditional Soup (Was Soto Madura), Main Course ( order from small card on the table) combined with the food that the chef prepare freshly at the kitchen to be presented at your table. Don't worry they have Seafood Barbeque for the seafood lovers. Dessert ? Don't ask it ! I spent 10 Minutes at the dessert buffet to try the sweet and take everything on to my plate of course with the strawberry and marshmallow dipped in the chocolate fountain.
I tell you it was my best choice to try to experienced the restaurant.
Do you know my next plan ? Perhaps i should try to stay in the resort. We'll see.
Thank you and Ciaoo.

“Diversity”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 November 2010

Stayed at the St. Regis from Oct. 31st to Nov. 2nd so breakfast was free @ Boneka. We had a free dinner but never used it so my review only concerns the breakfast buffet.

Value gets a full mark here since it's free for St. Regis guests. The service was very good and as to be expected from a hotel of it's caliber. The staff were extremely courteous although a bit lacking in self motivation (read: they won't do things for you automatically). The atmosphere is inviting and comfortable. The restaurant has excellent natural lighting.

Ok, for the food part... as the title suggests, diversity is what sets Boneka apart from the rest. You can get everything from Dim Sum to sushi to a lobster omelet. Reason for me giving only 3 stars for food? About 2/3 of the dishes are good to very good. The other 1/3 are just plain bad. Soggy bacon, mangled eggs, and chewy (supposedly NZ Waygu) beef are just some examples. The bread and pastry deserve special mention: try at your own risk. I found them to be lacking in texture and taste.

I'd say that it was definitely fun to try all the different dishes. As always tastes and "mileage" may vary. ;)

“Brunch at Boneka St Regis Nusa Dua”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 November 2010

Decided to treat ourselves after reading reviews on trip advisor.
Our hotel concierge booked it for us
Sunday Brunch Only
US $55 turn up at St Regis prior and look around it is unbelievable luxury and great photo opportunities
Cocktails in the cocktail lounge at 11.00am - we had cocktails of the day of Bloody Mary and Strawberry crush - just devine. You could have quite a few in 1 hour but we restrained to 2 each so we didn't overfill for the food to come.
Invited to Boneka restuarant for the Buffet Lunch.
We were seated in a beautiful booth - request one when booking or if you have kids near the kids area where they have clown, fairy floss and popcorn keeping the kids busy whilst you indulge.
I can not rave about the food enough - every dish is so much better than anything else and what you can order is just mind blowing.
It is not huge serves of anything so you really can try so many
We ordered nearly everyone from the menu - cooked fresh by chef and brought straight to table. There is so much you would have to go 4-5 times to cover them all.
You must compare this level of food and quality in your countries currency and what you would receive not indonesian money. It is a lot of in Indonesia but you just get this quality and choice anywhere in most Countries
