My original attraction with Kuta Lagoon was its location. Nestled between buildings down an alleyway in an area that is easy walking distance to the markets and many restaurants & clubs. I liked that its not a really big hotel and it is hidden from the rush on the street. . There is always room by the pool and it has a rather intimate feel to it. The staff are well presented and very helpful - while not 'in your face' I have stayed in two different rooms here. Pool access rooms are a hoot. While the room is clean, its quite plain, but what makes this room unique is the ability to walk out onto your own personal veranda (balcony style) and dip directly into the pool. The pool is a narrow shape that weaves along the other pool access rooms, which leaves you enough room to have your own space in the pool with out paying the price of a private pool. I think these rooms are very good value for money.
I have also stayed in a private pool villa - a very private alternative. I feel the rooms have aged a little and could do with a bit of a spruce up - but comparing it to other private pool villas and location - its still reasonable value for money. The size of the room is great and the sun room is a great spot to chill out and read a book.
There is a small mini mart on hotel grounds, restaurant, a karaoke bar and 24 hour room service (with very reasonable prices.)
I have stayed at Kuta Lagoon a few times now and will be returning yet again next month.

My partner and I stayed at the Kuta Lagoon in September 2011 for 6 nights. We had a Pool Villa which was lovely. Villa 16 was quiet and away from the main hotel, which can be a bit noisy in the late afternoon and evening. Breakfast is pretty average at this hotel. Staff are lovely.

This hotel was fantastic! I stayed here for 10 nights with a friend, in a private villa room. We didn't realise when we booked it that we would be sleeping in a king size bed together, but it wasn't a problem. The room was clean, the staff were always walking around with smiles on their faces & the pools (both the private pool & the long public pool) were cleaned regularly & beautiful.

The breakfast was nice, lots of choices each morning. It is better to get up early & enjoy the meals, as they don't tend to cook right up until 10am & are left with some warm dishes (rather than hot meals).

It was situated in a great location, a short walk to the beach, Commonwealth ATM & great money exchanger close by. There are some excellent shops (with really friendly staff) nearby - including an excellent dressmaker!! I would stay here again without hesitation! Its a must!

Had a short stay at this hotel about 12 month ago. It is located down a short alley, which makes the hotel a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of Jalan Legian. The staff, as you expect in Bali, are friendly and helpful, often running around with umbrellas for guests during the rains.
Upon arrival, we were told that the pool access room we had booked was unavailable and as a result, they upgraded us to a pool villa at no extra charge. My 4 year old nephew loved the easy access to the pool, though we had to keep a close watch on him.
Breakfast was a basic buffet that was enjoyable. Though the earlier you got into breakfast the better quality was to be found. However, I accept this as a common scenario with buffet breakfasts. I would like to stay at this hotel again in the future.

I have stayed at Kuta Lagoon Resort 12 times and I would never stay anywhere else. Love the hotel - friendly, clean and the pool access rooms are wonderful. This hotel has just won another award for three star hotels. Well done to Kuta Lagoon Resort!

Room Tip: Pool Access Rooms are the way to go!
