Description: The Sanskrit word for "beautiful", Sundara pays tribute to the glowing sun that warms Bali's hottest beachfront restaurant and bar. Enjoy a casual lunch of light, shareable cuisine ideal for soaking up the salt-air and panoramic views. Lounge away the afternoon on an ocean-front bale, sun-splashed daybed or table on the open terrace overlooking the 57-meter infinity edge pool, just steps above the surf. For dinner, Sundara transforms into one of Bali's most sophisticated dining experiences, with a Modern Asian-inspired menu that can be served as individual portions or for sharing with a companion or group. After dark, the beachside ambience becomes candlelit and sexy with the island's most tantric avant-garde cocktails.

Was quite excited to return here after so many years since it’s former name Pjs.
Had the best table in the house with gorgeous views of the bay. Being the only guests we had sundara to ourselves.
The soft shell crab was our favourite from the 6 dishes. Also very tasty was the barramundi.
Service was very good. Just a shame the wine we ordered wasn’t available which is not Normal for this caliber of a hotel. Anyway the team were quick to offer a alternative.
Thank you again for a enjoyable lunch experience.

Sundara is supposed to be highly recommended for Sunday brunch only and only if you want long hours of brunch but not otherwise.
I went to sundara for brunch but is highly disappointed with their food menu. The food taste was not upto my mark for sure Nd not at all worth the money paid for the same.
They take a separate charge for drinks because nothing is included in the brunch proce which is so not appreciated.
They have very limited options and i was not at all happy with their food.
I would rather recommend mulia for a perfect brunch because of their amazing spread and wine options!!
The only thing good about this place is the view and nothing else..

Dear 'Khyati T',

I regret that you did not enjoy your brunch at Sundara. I would appreciate if you can tell me more about the dishes that did not meet your expectations, so that we can review with the team as we continually use guest feedback to improve our offering. In terms of the selection, the menu has over 46 different dishes on it with unlimited orders over the 6-hour brunch period (Bali's Longest Brunch).

It is common for Sunday Brunches to offer separate beverage packages to suit different guest preferences. Our beverage packages are freeflow for the full 6 hours, and priced from Rp125,000++ per person for the non-alcoholic package (water, soft drinks and virgin cocktails). Alcoholic packages are priced at Rp750,000 (beer and cocktails), Rp850,000 (imported wine and cocktails) and Rp1,200,000 (everything combined).

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, as mentioned I would very much appreciate details on the specific dishes and hope we have a chance to welcome you back for a better experience in future.

Best regards,

Matthieu Bertho

I took the extended family (6 x adults and 2 x kids) for Sunday brunch.
The food was good and plentiful and served in tapas style portions.
What really disappointed me was the price!!!
I live in Bali and enjoy Sunday Brunch at a variety of hotels around the island.
None of them are anywhere near the cost of Sundara, or what we had to pay last Sunday!
For starters the drink package to accompany the 570K Brunch (which is reasonable) was 750k for the entry level with Bintang and basic cocktails!! That’s $75 on top of the $57, per person!!
So we all opted to pay as go on the drinks, and only consumed a few Bintang and 4 x cocktails.
Nearly fell off the chair when bill came out over 8.5 million (Rp)..!!
This included $51 of still water!! This was a massive trap as the glasses were continually filled without asking.
Very disappointing Sundara!! Won’t be back again.....

Dear 'TheDonBali',

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about Sunday Brunch at Sundara. While I am glad you enjoyed the unlimited selection of a la carte dishes, I regret that you did not feel the experience offered good value. Our Brunch is known to be Bali's Longest Brunch with 6 hours of unlimited orders from 11am - 5pm; most other brunches are only 3-4 hours. In addition, it is common for Sunday Brunches to offer separate beverage packages to suit different guest preferences.

Since you opted to pay as you go on the drinks, the mineral water and cocktails were charged as per regular a la carte prices. I definitely recommend a beverage package for maximum value over the course of the Brunch.

We have compared our prices with other 5-star venues considering the quality of food, imported genuine alcohol, views, setting and service, and believe we are competitive. We will continue to monitor other 5-star venues in Bali to ensure we remain so, and I thank you for sharing your comments for our ongoing survey and market research.

I am a regular to Sundara. Been here too many times. Beautiful sunset accompanied by acoustic band or solo almost everyday.

Dinner also very good. Among my fav are the duck pate, beef rib eye and Adi's lamb curry.
